Disney Vacation Club has added three Moonlight Magic events to the 2026 calendar, bringing an additional night to EPCOT and two additional nights to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The events provide eligible DVC members with complimentary after-hours access to the parks, along with several benefits that can make these nights very different from a normal Disney World visit.
The newly announced dates are October 15, 2026, at EPCOT and November 30 and December 22, 2026, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
For DVC members hoping to squeeze another special event into 2026, this is a pretty significant late addition to the calendar.
Disney World Adds More Extra Hours in 2026
Moonlight Magic is one of the more valuable perks Disney Vacation Club offers eligible members.
Rather than simply extending regular operating hours for everyone, Disney keeps the park open after hours specifically for registered Moonlight Magic attendees. These events typically create an opportunity to experience attractions with shorter waits while also enjoying entertainment and character appearances.
Disney says Moonlight Magic includes after-hours park access, shorter waits at select attractions, character greetings, entertainment and food. The events are complimentary for eligible DVC members.
That makes the announcement especially interesting because Disney isn’t simply adding one more event.
Three additional nights are coming across two parks.
EPCOT will host its newly added event on October 15. Disney’s Animal Kingdom will then receive two nights much later in the year, including November 30 and December 22.
The December date is particularly notable because it falls just days before Christmas, giving eligible members a chance to experience Animal Kingdom during one of the busiest periods of the holiday season.
Of course, Moonlight Magic shouldn’t be confused with Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. The two programs are separate. Extended Evening Hours are offered to qualifying Disney Resort guests on select nights, while Moonlight Magic is a Disney Vacation Club Membership Extra requiring registration.
Disney Is Giving Previous Attendees Another Chance
There is another important part of this announcement.
Disney isn’t preventing members who already attended Moonlight Magic earlier in 2026 from trying to register for one of these newly added events.
Eligible members can register for one of the additional dates even if they previously attended a Moonlight Magic event this year.
That potentially opens these nights to a larger group of DVC members instead of limiting them to those who missed the earlier events.
Still, getting into Moonlight Magic isn’t as simple as showing a DVC membership card at the park entrance.
Registration is required, and availability is limited.
Early registration for the newly announced events opens September 24, 2026. That window is available to eligible members with qualifying Disney Resort reservations.

General registration then begins October 1 for all eligible members, though Disney specifically notes that availability is limited.
If past demand is any indication, members interested in attending shouldn’t treat registration as something they can necessarily put off.
EPCOT Gets Another After-Hours Event
EPCOT makes plenty of sense for an October Moonlight Magic event.
The park will be in the middle of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, giving October visitors another reason to spend time there during the fall.
Moonlight Magic also offers a different way to experience EPCOT.
A normal day can involve managing attraction wait times alongside dining reservations, festival booths and entertainment. Having additional time after regular park operations gives attendees a chance to approach the park differently, particularly when waits for participating attractions are shorter.
The October 15 date also gives DVC members another special-event option before Walt Disney World transitions fully into its holiday season.
Animal Kingdom, however, may be the more intriguing part of this announcement.
Animal Kingdom Will Stay Open Late Twice
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is receiving two additional Moonlight Magic nights, and both come during the holiday season.
The first is November 30, while the second happens December 22.
Animal Kingdom can feel completely different after sunset. Pandora – The World of Avatar takes on a new look at night, and simply having additional time inside the park after its normal operating day creates an experience that many visitors don’t regularly get.
The December 22 event also arrives during Christmas week, when Walt Disney World typically attracts large holiday crowds.
These events won’t be available to every guest visiting Disney World, however. Moonlight Magic remains a Membership Extra for qualifying Disney Vacation Club members.
Members also need a valid digital Membership Card and matching photo identification to attend.
Three More Disney World Nights Are Now on the Calendar
The announcement adds another wrinkle to an already busy final stretch of 2026 at Walt Disney World.
EPCOT now has an additional Moonlight Magic date set for October 15, while Animal Kingdom will receive events on November 30 and December 22.
For eligible Disney Vacation Club members, the biggest date to remember first is September 24. That’s when early registration begins for members who meet the qualifying Resort reservation requirements. General registration follows on October 1.
And with Disney specifically warning that general registration has limited availability, these extra nights could become difficult to secure once registration begins.
For everyone who does get in, though, it means something guests don’t get during an ordinary Disney World day: extra time inside EPCOT or Animal Kingdom after hours, with smaller crowds, special entertainment and select attractions continuing well beyond the normal experience.
