James Bond stories are based in English writing. I see at least one black actor is proposed, but let us have no cultural cringe. No coloured, Asian, female or other radical selection will pay respect to the Bond tradition – this is no disrespect to their acting talent, just a plea for no silly arty propositions to an essentially WWII British military/spy yarn from Ian Fleming. Daniel Craig turned out unexpectedly very suited to the role.
The new james bond should be British/at least 6 ft 1 in height/be tough but have a wry sense of humor and should be a man and Caucasian.. I am a true loyal bond fan and am a woman. It is an insult to Ian fleming if you go against the character looks, I refuse to watch another 007 movie if the character is a woman/short/black and not British. Also is there anyone out there with any imagination to create a new story line instead of all these new remakes or reboots? Use your brains and create., not duplicate the same movies! Pam
Also.. there are some wonderful black actors and actresses and women actresses.. but I personally would like to see a male actor..because I like to see them kick butt and they are a lot stronger than women. But that’s just me! I like the tough guy movies!
