Grand Theft at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
At 12:22 p.m. on Monday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about grand theft at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the call log on X (formerly known as Twitter):

The Google Maps screenshot attached to the post displays a pin in the center of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, but that may not be where the grand theft incident occurred. Law enforcement often logs emergency responses at general addresses for the Central Florida Disney parks and hotels rather than the precise coordinates where they occurred.
It’s unclear exactly what was stolen and whether it was stolen from Walt Disney World Resort, a guest, or a cast member. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has yet to say whether deputies made any arrests following the grand theft report at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort on Monday.
More information may come to light if a police report is prepared and/or criminal charges are filed. However, Disney rarely issues comments on law enforcement responses on its properties.
What Disney World Guests Should Know
Operations at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are continuing normally on Monday, according to the My Disney Experience app. Bus and Disney Skyliner transportation remains available to Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, and Disney Springs.
Unfortunately, theft happens even at the Most Magical Place on Earth. Walt Disney World Resort guests are encouraged to secure all valuable belongings, keep vehicles locked, and never leave personal items unattended.
