One version of Disney’s iconic Snow White attraction is set to close to all guests on September 4.
The attraction dates back to Disneyland’s opening day in 1955, where it debuted as Snow White’s Adventures. Anaheim’s version became Snow White’s Scary Adventures in 1983 before a 2021 overhaul softened the experience, added new scenes, and introduced its current name, Snow White’s Enchanted Wish.

Magic Kingdom operated its own version from 1971 until 2012, when it closed permanently and was replaced by Princess Fairytale Hall. Disneyland Paris opened Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains in 1992, while Tokyo Disneyland’s Snow White’s Adventures has operated since 1983 and still retains a notably darker take on the story.
Now, the attraction is closing.
Disney Park Preps For Snow White Closure
Snow White’s Adventures is set to close to all guests on September 4.
Tokyo Disneyland’s Snow White’s Adventures opened with the park on April 15, 1983. The roughly 2.5-minute Fantasyland dark ride sends guests aboard four-person mine cars through the forest, encountering the Seven Dwarfs and the Evil Queen in her witch disguise as she offers Snow White the poisoned apple.

Fortunately for Snow White fans, the attraction isn’t closing down for good.
The Disney park – which is owned and operated by The Oriental Land Company, not The Walt Disney Company – is set to reopen on September 23, 2026, suggesting that its refurbishment will be relatively minor.
It’s not the only attraction out of action in September.

Right now, Tokyo Disneyland guests are also blocked from the likes of Dumbo the Flying Elephant (which has been closed since January and will reopen in October), Beaver Brothers Explorer Canoes, and Haunted Mansion. The park’s Swiss Family Treehouse has also been closed since 2022.
Next door, at Tokyo DisneySea, currently closed attractions include Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull (now closed for over a year), and the DisneySea Transit Steamer Line (Mediterranean Harbor).
