I could care less how much Feminist Toy Story 5 made, that still doesn’t make it a good movie and the majority knows to not take the word of Rotton Tomatoes. Unfortunately there are still a lot of weak kneed idi*ts when it comes to certain franchises which is why we’re going to get ten more Toy Story sequels and eventually a remake. Just remember, Toy Story 4 made a billion to and everybody hates that now. Lilo and Stitch made over a billion but mostly people hate it now. Give people time to come to their senses. After all, we see that Star Wars has been failing for years now
I don’t know anybody who went to see any of those lol. But online I see people really down on L&S because of the whole anti-family propaganda. I don’t ever want to teach my children that I would just abandon them for my own selfish gain
That was indeed a big low for Disney. They just made up excuses for it like, oh she had the government taking care of her, she had Stitch, she’s a female so she’s naturally born strong and independent and Nani can visit anytime using that silly portal thing…those are just cover ups and unrealistic excuses to show it’s ok to leave your last living family member in another state while you’re free of the responsibility and happily working on your own big label rather than being satisfied as a surfing instructor/lifeguard or waitress
RT scores and reviews are paid well which is why I don’t believe them under any circumstances. Instead I read what the general audience or YT reviewers say because they are able to locate and point out all the agenda and virtue signaling within a movie. From there I always realize how right I was to go ahead and expect it to be in there. That way I’m never disappointed and I simply add it to my list of movies I will never watch
That was pretty funny that even RT saw how dumb Moana remake was. But I’ll be honest… I’d kinda like to see it. Why? Because I haven’t found a live action Disney movie yet that has made me burst out laughing repeatedly and maybe seeing Rock in that costume will finally do it. But it’s no rush tho I’m sure I’ll find it in a dollar store or some other bargain dvd bin somewhere

The remakes had promise. They could’ve been really good and had good scripts. But they weren’t, didn’t and will continue to suck and we’ll keep getting them until the cows come home even if each one were to do as bad as Mulan, Little Black Mermaid, Latino Snow and Temu Moana
I will say this about the Moana remake: the music was very good (except grandma doesn’t sing as good as the animated!) and I’d like to see it sometime but it’ll only be out of hopes that for once I’ll laugh at something comical Disney did. I mean, I know Disney’s live action and remakes are not funny, they are not heartfelt they are not meaningful unlike their original counterparts but seeing rock in that Halloween Maui outfit is bound to give me a reason to laugh at a Disney movie again

However they heaved a big sigh of relief when Lilo and Stitch “saved them” and unfortunately Tangled will continue. It’s good knowing people were strong enough to avoid Moana remake but this next really worries me. If it succeeds, we know for sure we’ll get Frozen remake, Enchanto remake, Wish remake and so on. Please people, have a backbone and give Tangled remake the Dirt Brown and Moana treatment!
So they’re saying that creativity doesn’t matter as long as it fills their pockets. Charming philosophy to justify doubling down on the formats and rejecting originality. Consider me charmed
