Three separate incidents of violence were reported at two Walt Disney World Resort theme parks within one hour on Thursday morning. Here’s what law enforcement had to say about each emergency response.

The first call to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office came in shortly before 10:00 a.m. on July 9. The scanner report shared by @WDWActiveCrime on X (formerly known as Twitter) highlights an instance of “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” in a backstage Service Area near Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park:

It’s unclear exactly what sparked this first instance of violence at Walt Disney World Resort on Thursday. However, given that it was logged in a backstage area rather than the general address for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, it seems like the battery involved Disney cast members rather than guests.

Shortly after 10:15 a.m., law enforcement responded to another report of “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” on Walt Disney World Resort property–this time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. @WDWActiveCrime again shared the 911 call log on X:

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 7/9/26 10:18 AM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Disney’s Hollywood Studios

In this case, the battery incident was logged under the general emergency response coordinates for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the Google Maps screenshot in the X post shows that address. The pinned location may not represent exactly where this battery occurred, and it’s unclear whether it involved Disney cast members or theme park guests.

Three minutes later, a separate instance of “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” was reported at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. From @WDWActiveCrime:

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 7/9/26 10:21 AM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Once again, note that the attached Google Maps screenshot pinpoints the same location as with the earlier call at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This does not necessarily indicate exactly where the battery incident occurred, and the parties involved in this act of violence remain unknown.

Neither law enforcement nor Walt Disney World Resort has issued a statement on these three acts of violence on Thursday morning. More information may become available if a police report is prepared and/or criminal charges are filed.

At this time, neither Disney’s Hollywood Studios nor Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park appears to be experiencing operational disruptions following the three battery incidents reported on July 9. Walt Disney World Resort guests are free to proceed with their vacation plans as normal, while remaining cautious and following any instructions from Disney cast members or law enforcement if necessary.
