Much a-do about nothing. It was and still is a great ride! Would Walt approve? Probably. Why? Because he wanted the park to progress not stale-out. There’s only one attraction that has never changed and it was in the contract that the sponsor and Disney signed in the very beginning. I love that they still honor that agreement! Can you guess?—– It’s the Tiki Room in Adventure Land! Jose, our host bird, thanks the “senorita” at every show regardless who “wakes him up”! It’s adorable and still no one seems to notice or care. There’s more, but I don’t want to spoiler alert this for anyone. (It’s the very first animatronic show in the world!) Very historic. Nice place to sit and cool off, too. Let Pirates have their trial run, and let’s party at the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room!
I wish they would stop messing with Pirates of the Caribbean altogether. If they want to mess with rides made after Walt’s demise, then fine, but can’t they just stop messing with the rides and things Walt put into place?
So much of Disneyland isn’t typical Disney anymore. Instead, Disney is capitalizing on things that were never created by Disney to start with.
