I think it would be fantastic if Ryan’s character were a Jedi. Star Wars is practically nothing without Jedi and lightsabers. And I get what you mean about Star Wars being too female now. If Gosling portrayed a Jedi and were to battle with a lightsaber as epic as the one between Luke and Vadar and Anakin and Obi Wan, Starfighters would do tremendously well and draw people in. It’s time for Disney to pay attention to the real fans again. We want more Jedi. We want more male leads, and we want more lightsaber battles
That dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. The Force is not female nor is it male. It’s an invisible power. It doesn’t have a gender. I don’t care what Disney believes or pushes.
I don’t care if they have more male or female leads… bring back well written leads that actually have character depth (and if we can bring back choreographers that know how to do their jobs for the lightsaber fights, all the better).
The Disney Star Wars trilogy was a mistake. They rushed into it without any actual plan, just hoping to cash in on brand recognition. The sooner they move past it and leave it behind, the better.
