Walt Disney World has officially unveiled its first major wave of holiday announcements for the 2026 season, giving guests a look at what awaits across the theme parks, Disney Springs, and Disney Resort hotels later this year.

From returning Christmas parties and seasonal festivals to festive entertainment, character meet-and-greets, special decorations, and new hotel discounts, Disney is once again transforming the entire resort into a holiday destination. The celebration will run from November 13, 2026, through January 6, 2027, bringing nearly two months of Christmas offerings to Central Florida.

Here’s everything Disney has confirmed so far for the 2026 holiday season.

Magic Kingdom Brings Back Christmas Favorites

Magic Kingdom remains the centerpiece of Disney World’s holiday celebrations, and several returning traditions are already confirmed.

One of the biggest entertainment offerings will be Frozen Holiday Surprise, the nighttime castle show featuring Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, and a flurry of snowgies. The show culminates with Elsa transforming Cinderella Castle into a shimmering ice-covered palace.

Disney also confirmed that Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away will continue operating throughout the holiday season on non-party evenings. However, the parade will not run during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights. Instead, party guests will be able to enjoy Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

Holiday decorations will once again cover Main Street, U.S.A., and extend throughout the park, creating some of Disney World’s most popular Christmas photo locations.

Guests can also look forward to the return of Jingle Cruise, the seasonal version of Jungle Cruise that adds holiday jokes, decorations, and festive touches throughout both the queue and attraction.

Of course, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party returns on select nights with exclusive entertainment, seasonal treats, special ride experiences, and the signature holiday atmosphere that has made it one of Disney World’s most popular after-hours events.

EPCOT Celebrates Traditions From Around the World

After enjoying the festivities at Magic Kingdom, many guests will head to EPCOT for one of Disney World’s most beloved seasonal offerings.

The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will return from November 27 through December 30, 2026. Included with regular park admission, the festival combines international holiday traditions, seasonal entertainment, and specialty food offerings from around the globe.

Disney has not yet released the full food lineup, but guests can expect holiday kitchens, festive treats, and seasonal beverages throughout World Showcase and beyond.

As always, the festival will blend cultural celebrations with live entertainment, making EPCOT a major holiday destination during the Christmas season.

Hollywood Studios Leans Into Classic Christmas Charm

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will once again offer a mix of nostalgic decorations, seasonal entertainment, and Jollywood Nights.

One returning favorite is Sunset Seasons Greetings, which uses projection effects to transform the Hollywood Tower Hotel into several holiday-themed scenes inspired by Disney stories.

Guests can also experience a special holiday version of For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. The show adds seasonal music and a festive finale featuring Olaf alongside Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff.

Toy Story Land will receive its annual holiday makeover, and Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie will once again greet guests while dressed in seasonal outfits.

At Hollywood & Vine, Minnie’s Holiday Dine returns with festive décor, character appearances, and a holiday-themed dining experience featuring Minnie Mouse and friends.

Meanwhile, Walt Disney Presents will feature a limited-time holiday exhibit showcasing artifacts, props, and short films inspired by classic Disney holiday stories.

Animal Kingdom Continues Its Unique Holiday Tradition

While Animal Kingdom celebrates Christmas differently from the other parks, several fan favorites are returning.

The Merry Menagerie will once again bring artisan-crafted animal puppets to Discovery Island. Guests can encounter reindeer, foxes, polar bears, penguins, and other winter animals throughout the area.

The Tree of Life Awakenings Holiday Edition also returns after sunset, transforming the park’s icon with seasonal projections, music, and animated stories.

Guests looking for holiday character encounters will find Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dressed in festive explorer attire at Adventurers Outpost.

Disney also confirmed that artist Rob Kaz will appear at Island Mercantile between November 1 and November 22 while showcasing holiday artwork.

Disney Springs Adds Shopping and Seasonal Entertainment

Outside the parks, Disney Springs will once again become a major holiday destination.

The popular Christmas Tree Stroll returns with themed trees inspired by Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars franchises. Disney specifically confirmed the return of the Toy Story-themed tree for 2026.

Nightly snowfall will once again take place in Town Center, bringing a winter atmosphere to Disney Springs despite Florida’s warm climate.

Guests can also visit the holiday overlay at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, featuring seasonal decorations and limited-time food and beverage offerings.

Live entertainment will return throughout the shopping district as local and regional musicians perform on select nights.

Santa Claus will also meet guests at Disney Springs through December 24.

Resort Hotels Join the Celebration

Disney is extending the holiday experience far beyond the parks.

Guests can expect seasonal decorations and offerings across the Disney Resorts Collection, including…

  • Seasonal decorations
  • Themed Displays
  • Holiday Music
  • Specialty Food and Beverage Offerings

Whether guests prefer the tropical atmosphere of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or the waterfront setting of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney says every resort will offer its own holiday touches.

The decorations have become a tradition of their own, drawing visitors who spend entire days exploring resort lobbies, Christmas trees, and seasonal displays.

Additional resort discounts of up to 20% will be available on select Disney Resort hotel rooms for stays between October 4 and December 24.

Florida residents can save up to 25% during select holiday travel windows, while Annual Passholders can save up to 30% on select Disney Resort hotel stays from October 4 through December 24.

Booking for these offers opens June 25.

A Resort-Wide Holiday Celebration Returns

Disney World isn’t limiting Christmas celebrations to a single park or event in 2026. Instead, the company is once again turning the entire resort into a holiday destination.

From Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays to Jollywood Nights-style entertainment at Hollywood Studios, Merry Menagerie at Animal Kingdom, festive hotel displays, and seasonal offerings at Disney Springs, nearly every corner of Walt Disney World will be part of the celebration.

With holiday festivities beginning November 13 and continuing through January 6, guests will have plenty of opportunities to experience Disney’s biggest season of the year.
