Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently may notice something a little different when searching for some of Disney’s most recognizable characters. Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Goofy have officially relocated their meet-and-greet location inside the park, giving fans a new place to stop for photos and autographs.

Character locations shift from time to time across Walt Disney World, but this particular move is connected to a much larger transformation currently happening in one section of Animal Kingdom. With several closures and new experiences on the horizon, Disney has had to shuffle some of its entertainment offerings around the park.
The good news for guests is that Donald, Daisy, and Goofy are still meeting visitors — you’ll just need to know where to find them.
A New Meet-and-Greet Near the Wildlife Express Train
The trio is now greeting guests near the Wildlife Express Train Station at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Normally, this area serves as the starting point for guests heading to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. The train transports visitors to a quieter section of the park focused on conservation, animal care, and educational exhibits. However, with the train temporarily closed, the station has taken on a different role.
Instead of sending guests deeper into the park, the area now hosts a meet-and-greet featuring Donald, Daisy, and Goofy together.

The characters pose for photos in front of the train station area, creating a fun backdrop that still fits with Animal Kingdom’s adventurous theme. Guests will also notice that Donald and Daisy continue wearing the safari-inspired outfits that fans may recognize from Tusker House Restaurant, helping them blend right in with the park’s environment.
Goofy joins them wearing his familiar outdoor outfit, which longtime visitors may remember from past appearances around the park.
It’s a relaxed setting compared to some of the busier character spots at Walt Disney World, giving families a chance to meet all three characters in one convenient location.
Why the Characters Had to Move
The relocation happened because of a chain reaction of changes across Animal Kingdom.
One of the biggest shifts involves Rafiki’s Planet Watch, which temporarily closed as Disney prepares to introduce a brand-new experience themed to the popular children’s series Bluey. The Wildlife Express Train — the only way to reach that area — also stopped running while construction and preparations take place.
When the train shuts down, Rafiki’s Planet Watch essentially becomes inaccessible to guests, meaning everything beyond that station closes along with it.

That closure forced Disney to relocate several offerings across the park, including character meet-and-greets.
At the same time, characters from The Lion King also had to move. Timon and Rafiki previously greeted guests near Conservation Station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, but with that area closed, they were relocated to The Oasis near the entrance of Animal Kingdom.
Once Timon and Rafiki took over the Oasis greeting space, Donald and Daisy had to find a new home.
That’s how the trio ended up near the Wildlife Express Train Station.
A Temporary Transformation of Rafiki’s Planet Watch
The changes at Rafiki’s Planet Watch are part of a larger effort to introduce new experiences for younger guests.
Disney has announced that the area will soon feature a special interactive experience inspired by Bluey, one of the most popular children’s shows in the world right now. Bluey and her sister Bingo are expected to appear for meet-and-greets, along with interactive activities like dancing and games designed for families.
The addition fits Disney’s strategy of introducing characters that resonate strongly with younger visitors.
However, the transformation also means some longtime elements of Rafiki’s Planet Watch are changing.

One of the biggest adjustments involves Affection Section, the petting zoo that has long been a part of the area. Instead of reopening exactly as it was before, the space is expected to be reimagined with Australian animals to match the setting of Bluey, which takes place in Australia.
This shift will help tie the animal experiences more closely to the show’s theme while still maintaining the educational side of Animal Kingdom.
Even though the format is changing, Disney appears to be keeping the park’s focus on animal encounters alive — just with a new twist inspired by the popular series.
A Different Use for the Train Station
With the Wildlife Express Train not operating, the station itself has become a quiet corner of the park. Disney has used that downtime to temporarily transform the space into a meet-and-greet area.
Signs direct guests toward the character greeting location, and the layout of the area guides visitors in and out along the same pathway normally used when unloading from the train.
For fans, the unexpected location actually makes for a fun discovery.
Goofy has appeared near the train station before, but seeing him joined by Donald and Daisy adds an extra bit of excitement for guests exploring that side of the park.
Animal Kingdom Is in the Middle of Big Changes
The meet-and-greet shuffle is just one small example of the larger evolution happening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Over the years, the park has gradually introduced new intellectual properties, experiences, and family attractions while still trying to maintain its original conservation-focused identity.
Some areas of the park have been reimagined entirely, while others have been updated to appeal to a new generation of guests.

The upcoming Bluey experience is another example of that balancing act — bringing in characters that kids love while still offering animal encounters and educational elements.
Even smaller changes, like relocating meet-and-greets, show how interconnected everything inside the park can be.
Where to Meet the Characters Now
For guests hoping to meet Donald, Daisy, and Goofy during their visit, the new location is fairly easy to find.
Simply head toward the Wildlife Express Train Station area in Animal Kingdom, where the characters are currently greeting guests together.

As always, Disney recommends checking the My Disney Experience app for the most accurate character schedules since appearances can vary throughout the day.
But for now, the trio has settled into their new temporary home — giving visitors another fun moment to enjoy during their time at the park.
A Reminder That the Parks Are Always Changing
One of the things that makes Walt Disney World so unique is how frequently the parks evolve.
Attractions open and close, entertainment shifts locations, and entire areas can transform over time. For fans who visit regularly, these changes are simply part of the experience.
While Donald, Daisy, and Goofy may be greeting guests in a different spot today, the magic of meeting these beloved characters remains exactly the same.
And for many families visiting Animal Kingdom, those simple moments — a hug from Goofy or a photo with Donald and Daisy — often become some of the most memorable parts of the entire trip.
