One Disney park has introduced a warning to all guests before its fireworks display.
For years, Disneyland Paris has grappled with repeated rule-breaking around restricted areas. To be more specific, it has grappled with guests who climb tall structures for better views of the parades and fireworks. Now, the resort has taken a more direct approach — issuing a formal safety announcement before its nighttime spectacular.

In recent weeks, Disneyland Paris added a new pre-show warning ahead of Disney Tales of Magic, reminding visitors that climbing on Central Plaza stages and decorative installations is strictly forbidden.
The message now plays before the fireworks begin, addressing guest behavior that has long caused operational and safety concerns around the park’s hub area.
A Clear Warning Before the Show Begins
The announcement, played over the park’s audio system (via @DisneyphileLIVE), states: “Dear friends, for your safety and to ensure the quality of the show, we kindly ask you not to step onto the Central Plaza stages or decorative installations. These elements are an integral part of the show set design and are not intended to support guests. If this rule is not respected, we may unfortunately be forced to turn off certain lights or special effects, which would deprive all guests of part of the show’s magic.”

The wording makes it clear that guest actions could directly impact the experience — not just for themselves, but for everyone watching the show.
A Longstanding Issue at the Park
The update follows years of incidents involving guests entering restricted areas at Disneyland Paris, particularly during busy nighttime shows. As previously reported, visitors have climbed onto structures, damaged decorative elements, and even thrown materials into fountains.

This doesn’t always occur during the fireworks. In one widely shared incident, guests removed blue gravel from a fenced-off area and tossed it into a nearby water feature, prompting concern over potential damage and safety risks.
Despite fencing, signage, and staff presence, the behavior persisted — prompting Disney to escalate its messaging.
