This weekend, Walt Disney World Resort made a noticeable change to the parking situation at its four theme parks: Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

Parking Update at Disney World

This weekend, Walt Disney World Resort cast members working in the parking lots at the four Central Florida theme parks debuted all-new costumes. The first report on the change came from WDWNT, and it was a pretty big surprise, considering that Walt Disney World Resort had just replaced the parking cast member costume in 2024.

At the Disney parks, the term “costume” applies to all cast member uniforms, not just those of character performers. The new, high-visibility costumes were first spotted in the parking lot at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but the change also applies to Magic Kingdom Park’s Ticket & Transportation Center, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The new costume shirts are a high-visibility, lime green color and feature white Mickey globe icons as well as references to vehicular icons from various Disney properties, including: a TRON Lightcycle / Run ride vehicle, Herbie from The Love Bug (1968), a car from the Tomorrowland Speedway, the titular character from Susie the Little Blue Coupe (1952), a Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride attraction vehicle, Vanellope von Schweetz’s Sugar Rush race car from Wreck-It Ralph (2012), a Kilimanjaro Safaris ride vehicle, and Cruella de Vil’s Panther De Ville, from the live-action 101 Dalmatians (1996). The short-sleeved tops are paired with multiple navy blue bottom options for Disney cast members to choose from, including pants and shorts.

Disney Park guests can spot these cast members guiding vehicles through the parking lots, collecting payment at the entry booth, and driving trams to and from the park entrance.

It’s unclear when (or if) these new costumes will debut at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, or the ESPN Wide World of Sports. Disney cast members typically don’t guide guests parking at Disney Springs or the Disney Resort hotels.
