Walt Disney World Resort has announced the replacement of a scheduled celebrity narrator for the Candlelight Processional, one of the most popular parts of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. This heartwarming entertainment offering features a celebrity guest telling the classic Christmas story alongside a talented choir made up of Disney cast members.

Disney Parks Blog announced the celebrity narrator lineup back in September, featuring several popular Candlelight Processional alums alongside multiple new faces. 15 famous artist will lend their talents to the show, which performs at the America Gardens Theatre three times nightly from November 28 to December 30, 2025.

However, if you’re headed to the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays in early December, a change in celebrity narrators might impact your viewing of the Candlelight Processional. According to the Walt Disney World Resort website, Disney Legend Susan Egan has replaced Jennifer Garner, who was scheduled to narrate the performances on December 3 and 4, 2025. The complete updated schedule reads as follows:

  • November 30-December 2 – Jordan Fisher
  • December 3-4 – Susan Egan (NEW)
  • December 5-6 – Ashley Eckstein
  • December 7-8 – Ralph Macchio
  • December 9-10 – Leslie Uggams (NEW)
  • December 11-13 – Marlee Matlin
  • December 14-15 – Henry Winkler (NEW)
  • December 16-17 – Lauren Daigle (NEW)
  • December 18-19 – Gary Sinise
  • December 20-22 – Brendan Fraser
  • December 23-24 – Luis Fonsi
  • December 25-26 – Joel David Smallbone (NEW)
  • December 27-28 – Brie Larson (NEW)
  • December 29-30 – Sheryl Lee Ralph (NEW)

Egan is best known for her roles as Megara in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Hercules (1997) and as the original, Tony Award-nominated Belle in Disney on Broadway’s “Beauty and the Beast.” She has performed at countless Disney events over the last few decades and was recently named the official Godparent of Disney Destiny, the newest Disney Cruise Line ship.

To see Egan or any other celebrity narrator in the Candlelight Processional during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, Walt Disney World Resort guests should plan to arrive at least two hours before their chosen scheduled performance or book a dining package with reserved seating. Beginning November 28, the show performs nightly in the America Gardens Theatre at 5:00 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 8:15 p.m.
