Disney has slashed prices for hotels at one resort ahead of Black Friday.

Financially, The Walt Disney Company has had a mixed year after falling short of Wall Street analysts’ expectations with flat revenues of $22.46 billion in its fourth quarter. Stock prices tumbled by nearly 8% after Disney shared its results, continuing a rough trend since Bob Iger returned as CEO.

Attendance slipped by 1% at its domestic parks (Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort) in 2025, following an increase in 2024. At the same time, its Disney Experiences division (which includes the theme parks and Disney Cruise Line) earned a record-breaking $10 billion profit in fiscal 2025 through higher hotel rates, food and merchandise pricing, and targeted upcharges.

Overseas, however, the parks have thrived. International parks contributed a 25% increase in operating income for the fourth quarter, to $299 million. Much of this growth was attributed to Disneyland Paris, but Hong Kong Disneyland has also made headlines for its performance in 2025.

The park – which is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary – drew an all-time high of 7.7 million visitors in 2024, when it also experienced its highest-ever net profit of HK$838 million.

But this wasn’t always the case. The international resort has long stood out for its financial challenges. Hong Kong Disneyland struggled for years, reporting repeated losses and facing slow local attendance. Political uncertainty, strict travel measures, and recurrent COVID-19 closures only intensified the pressure.

Hong Kong Disneyland has invested heavily to reverse its fortunes. New attractions – such as World of Frozen and the Stark Expo expansion of Tomorrowland – hotel upgrades, and expanded entertainment offerings have been part of a multiyear effort to attract both regional tourists and local guests. That strategy finally paid off, with Hong Kong Disneyland turning profitable again after nearly a decade of losses.

Black Friday Promotion Revealed For Hong Kong Disneyland

Its ongoing Black Friday hotel promotion signals the resort is pushing to build on that progress.

Disney is using an aggressive 40% discount to pull forward 2026 demand, fill hotel rooms, and reinforce the resort’s recovery heading into the new year.

Guests can choose from three onsite hotels. Disney’s Hollywood Hotel (which underwent a refresh after COVID-19) offers bright, design-focused accommodations themed around mid-century film style. Disney Explorers Lodge features lush gardens and exploration-inspired décor. Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel serves as the flagship Victorian resort, offering premium rooms and access to the club level.

For one-night stays, Sea View Rooms at Disney’s Hollywood Hotel start from HK$1,200 ($154) per night. Sea View Rooms at Disney Explorers Lodge start from HK$1,560 ($200) per night. Rooms at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel begin at HK$1,830 ($235) per night, including Sea View, Sea View with Balcony, and Kingdom Club categories.

Hong Kong Disneyland is also offering a two-night version of the promotion.

Standard and Deluxe Rooms across all three hotels qualify, with prices starting from HK$1,020 ($131) per night. This option is designed to appeal to longer-stay visitors, particularly families seeking a park-plus-hotel package.

Check-in windows vary by hotel. For the one-night Black Friday offer, Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel stays are valid from January 2 through September 30, 2026, while Disney’s Hollywood Hotel and Disney Explorers Lodge offers extend through October 31.

For two-night stays, the final eligible date is one day earlier at each property.

Note that a 10% service charge will be applied to the discounted room rate, any extra fees, and applicable government tax. An additional HK$200 ($26) per person, per night will be charged for the third and fourth guests aged 12 or older, subject to a 10% service charge and government tax.

The offer is expected to drive early-year occupancy and draw visitors planning staycations or short-haul regional travel.
