There’s a lot of fun to be had at Disney World, but there are a few things we recommend you skip.
Mission: Space

We’ve talked about this ride at rest length before, but something compels us to keep talking. Mission: Space is not for the weak, as it’s arguably the most intense attraction in all of Walt Disney World.
Meant to give the same feeling of actual space flight, Mission: Space is an incredibly intense experience, one that doesn’t really feel worth it in the end. To put it bluntly, Mission: Space feels very dated, especially when compared to Disney World’s newer additions like Tron: Lightcycle / Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
The actual ride experience leaves a lot to be desired. It’s certainly fun for some riders, but a lot of guests choose to skip this one entirely, and for good reason.
Mission: Space is claustrophobic and not at all comfortable. It can also make you feel sick for the rest of the day.
Kali River Rapids

This is another ride that has the potential to ruin the rest of your day.
Very few of Disney World’s rides involve water. Sure, classics like Pirates of the Caribbean and “It’s a Small World” have guests travel by boat, but only a handful of attractions at the Disney parks actually leave guests this wet.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has the potential to leave guests pretty soaked, though this ride is nothing compared to Kali River Rapids.
What starts as a very simple and easy-going journey through wild Asian rapids quickly turns into an intense thrill ride as riders are tumbled down a large “waterfall.” Not everyone gets wet on this ride, but those who do come off completely soaked.
Kali River Rapids is fun, but we highly recommend stowing away all personal items somewhere before taking the plunge. It doesn’t hurt to have an extra pair of shoes, either.
Mad Tea Party

This may feel out of place compared to everything else on this list, but stay with us. Mad Tea Party is a classic part of Magic Kingdom and is likely one of the rides guests think about before their day begins. It’s colorful, bright, and family-friendly, but something sinister lurks beneath it all.
For starters, this attraction can be headache-inducing depending on how fast you spin around. The ride’s queue also leaves a lot to be desired, resembling a typical carnival attraction rather than an immersive “Disney-level” experience.
Each time the ride starts and stops, it makes a horrendous mechanical sound that can only be described as a “dying elephant.” However, there’s also something magical about this ride. We can’t quite put our finger on it, but Mad Tea Party feels like a quintessential part of Walt Disney World.
Skip this one if you get mitten sickness, but take it for a spin if you want a complete Magic Kingdom day.
