While rides and attractions are the bread and butter of a Disney vacation, there’s a lot of fun to be had outside the theme park gates. At Walt Disney World, guests can sit back and relax poolside at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, each featuring its own selection of slides, rivers, and sweet treats.

Travelers can get their nightlife fix at Disney Springs, a massive outdoor shopping and dining center located on Walt Disney World property. Disneyland has a similar destination, though many consider it to be better than what is found in Florida.

Called Downtown Disney, this is the go-to spot for guests looking to shop, drink, and eat until they drop. A number of iconic chains are found within the boundaries of Downtown Disney, ranging from quick bites at Earl of Sandwich to Jazz Kitchen.

However, Downtown Disney will eventually sport a brand-new location for guests to try and enjoy.

Announced today, a new British-themed pub from Gordon Ramsay is coming to Downtown Disney. Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby will offer classic British items, including the legendary chef’s famous beef Wellington.

Once open, guests will find the Carnaby atop the upcoming new Earl of Sandwich location.

A lot more changes are in store for Disneyland Resort in the coming years. Next year, several locations and experiences will close, namely Monsters Inc. Mike and Sully to the Rescue, to make way for Disneyland’s new land-based, Avatar.

Similar to Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disneyland’s take on Pandora will feature breathtaking locations to explore and at least one new attraction.

Avengers Campus is expanding at Disney California Adventure, too. Announced last year, it will receive multiple new rides and experiences. The biggest element of this expansion is a new “E-ticket” ride featuring multiple Marvel heroes as they attempt to take on King Thanos.
