There’s something unusual happening with the new attractions at Disney World. Some of the latest and updated attractions have a not-ready-for-primetime feel to them.

When Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened, the ride constantly broke down. Now, 16 months after its initial opening, the ride is plagued by breakdowns and animatronics that are not functioning properly.
Now, it appears that another Disney World ride has suffered the same fate as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, even after a 13-month refurbishment.

Test Track 3.0 at EPCOT has proven to be one of the least reliable rides at Disney World, and today proved why the ride can’t be counted on. On October 30, Test Track was down for four hours in the middle of the day at EPCOT.
While it’s not unusual for rides at Disney World to be down for a short period or even an hour, a four-hour shutdown is highly unusual. Most of the time when rides are down, it’s guest error, like dropping something or vomiting on the ride, but that only causes a brief delay. This seems to be a significant issue with the ride.

All Ears tracks Disney World’s wait times and found a disturbing trend with Test Track. In the last 23 days, the ride has been down a whopping 55 times. That’s right, Test Track has been down twice a day for the last 23 days.
That is by far the most of any ride at Disney World. To put that into some perspective, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which, as previously discussed, is notorious for its downtime, was only down 32 times in the last 21 days. That’s just over one time per day.

So, what’s going on with Test Track? The answer is, we don’t know. Disney has yet to comment on why one of its newest attractions keeps closing.
For now, guests will just have to hope that the ride is available to them when they’re at EPCOT. But if the past is precedent, that doesn’t seem likely.
