Police raided a Disney Cruise Line vessel this week, fresh off hitting the water.
It’s been well over two decades since the Disney Cruise Line first launched with the Disney Magic, blending traditional cruising with Disney’s signature storytelling. In the years since, the fleet has grown to include the Wonder, Dream, Fantasy, Wish, and Treasure, with more ships on the way.

One of these ships is the Disney Adventure – the first and only ship of the Disney Cruise Line’s Global class, with a planned sister ship scrapped in 2022. The ship will feature experiences inspired by Disney, Marvel, and Pixar, such as the Royal Society for Friendship and Tea, Moana: Call of the Sea, the Duffy and The Friend Ship Show, the Captain Jack Sparrow and the Siren Queen Show, and a staeg spectacular featuring Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Black Panther and other heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Disney Adventure will be the first Disney Cruise Ship to be based outside of the United States, with its home port fixed for Singapore and its maiden voyage scheduled for December 15. As this date creeps closer, the Disney Cruise Line is in the process of making its final preparations, such as sending the ship from the Wismar shipyard for sea trials on September 1.

Just days later, however, the ship has found itself halted by police.
Police Board Disney Cruise Line Ship
Docked in Germany with more than 1,400 crew members on board, officers boarded the Disney Adventure as part of a targeted operation. While the ship was taking on more fuel, police conducted a targeted operation to arrest two workers.
