The Halloween season is in full effect at the Disney theme parks, with all kinds of ghoulish attractions, sweet treats, and a few tricks available to guests. At Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Hallloween Party has begun, an annual party that invites visitors to explore the park and all its Halloween-themed limited-time goodies.

The same can be said about Disneyland’s Oogie Boogie Bash, a Nightmare Before Christmas-inspired Halloween celebration.

However, Disney’s international theme parks get into the festive spirit too, with Disneyland Paris set to start its own Halloween party.

The European resort recently teased the return of its Disney Villains in a new ad for the Disney Halloween Festival.

This limited-time event kicks off on October 1 and lasts until November 2, giving guests around a month to enjoy all the offerings.

Are You Brave Enough? » Disneyland Paris teases the return of the Disney Villains in a new spot for the Disney Halloween Festival, from October 1 to November 2, 2025 in Disneyland Park.

“With colourful pumpkins, wickedly-fun decorations and the most adorable ghosts, Disneyland Park is the mwah-ha-ha-happiest of Halloween playgrounds for you to explore,” reads the official webpage for the event. “Just tread carefully on Main Street after dark, as it comes ‘alive’ like never before.”

Hype for Disney villains has never been more real, with Disney increasingly leaning into its treasure trove of iconic bad guys and girls over the last few years. From Fortnite to real-life events, the villainous mugs of Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Cruella De Vil have managed to reemerge as even bigger pop culture icons.

However, Disney still has bigger plans for its bad-to-the-bone characters. Last year, the company held its annual D23 event, announcing a number of exciting projects. Some of the announcements were expected, like Disney’s plans for DinoLand U.S.A. at its Animal Kingdom theme park.

Other announcements, such as confirmation of a new land based on Pixar’s Monsters Inc., came out of nowhere. Named Monstropolis, this colorful new area will take over the former spot of Muppets Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Muppet hub closed this summer, marking a new chapter for Disney’s ever-changing movie-themed theme park.

However, the announcement of a new villain’s land for the Magic Kingdom left fans speechless. Rumors of a land dedicated to Disney’s collection of evil-doers have circulated for decades. It makes sense: there’s a land based on Disney’s princesses; why shouldn’t there be one inspired by the bad guys?

These rumors ended up going nowhere, or so guests thought.

Disney Parks and Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro delivered the shocking news live on stage back in August, confirming that Magic Kingdom would be getting a new area based solely on iconic villains.

Not much information is known about Magic Kingdom’s Villains Land, but concept art shows off an immersive and expansive new area to explore, complete with at least one roller coaster.
