It seems as though even “The Most Magical Place on Earth” is not immune to a few glitches from time to time.

In March 2022, a small fire broke out in the Magic Kingdom, with flames spotted on top of one of the park’s main attractions. According to reports, a rogue fireworks fell on top of the show building for Under the Sea—Journey of the Little Mermaid, a dark ride located inside Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland. This ride was added as a part of the huge Fantasyland expansion Disney completed in 2012.

A video of the incident was shared by CD Howard (@CDHowardRx) on Twitter, which is linked below:

It was believed that a firework from the nighttime show “Disney Enchantment” made contact with the top of the building.

A similar incident unfolded back in 2014, when the top of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train caught fire at night at the Magic Kingdom. More on that attraction below:

Heigh-Ho, It’s Off You Go!

Deep inside an age-old mountain, clamber into a rustic mine train and make your way up a steep incline.

At the summit, feel the wind across your face as you navigate hairpin turns and head deep into the mine shaft—your creaky cart teetering back and forth. Soon, the dark sparkles with glittering jewels and you encounter the Seven Dwarfs, whistling and singing while they work.

Chug through the cavern and climb skyward. At the peak, glimpse an incredible view of Fantasyland before racing back down to the foot of the mountain.
