Part of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Experience at Walt Disney World Resort has permanently closed without any formal announcement to Disney Park guests. Large curtains now block the area from Magic Kingdom Park visitors and offer little explanation for the abrupt shutdown.
For many families with young children, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a must-do part of the vacation experience at Disney parks and on Disney Cruises around the world. Guests aged three to twelve can receive Disney Princess, Encanto (2021), or knight-themed makeovers at different tiers, which include everything from themed pink t-shirts to deluxe gowns.

Walt Disney World Resort used to offer three Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique locations at Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney Springs. However, since the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the Disney parks in 2020, Disney Springs and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa locations have remained closed.
Now, the remaining Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park has reportedly been impacted by another unexpected closure. This location is inside Cinderella Castle, but guests check in and get dressed at a nearby building in Fantasyland before heading to the makeover room.

Previously, after saying goodbye to their Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices, young Princesses and Princes could head over to Sir Mickey’s, a merchandise location in Fantasyland, for a special Disney PhotoPass photoshoot. This Disney PhotoPass Studio was exclusively for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique visitors.
Unfortunately, according to a report from WDWNT, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Disney PhotoPass Studio at Magic Kingdom Park is now closed. As of September 24, 2025, large blue curtains with gold tassels block the area from shoppers inside Sir Mickey’s. Guests can still purchase Disney Princess dresses, accessories, and other souvenirs inside the store.

Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t shared plans for the former Disney PhotoPass Studio in Sir Mickey’s. However, on September 5, Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort announced plans to overhaul the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique offerings. Both resorts will offer simplified packages to make the experience easier for guests, and the Fairy Godmother herself will begin visiting guests receiving makeovers.
