Star Tours

The classic Star Wars-themed immersive simulator closed back on June 30 for a refurbishment.
There are no exact details about when guests can expect Star Tours to reopen, though it’s assumed to remain offline for the majority of August.
Haunted Mansion

Haunted Mansion is perhaps the single most iconic ride in all of Disneyland, but the spooks will end in early August. The classic dark ride is set to close for refurbishment on August 9 and will remain offline through August 21, 2025.
Casey Jr. Circus Train
This family-friendly train ride closed on July 28 and will not reopen until after August.
Storybook Land Canal Boats
This charming fairytale boat ride has been closed since July 21 and will remain unavailable through the month of August, at least, according to the official Disneyland refurbishment calendar.
Radiator Springs Racers

Probably the biggest closure on this list, Radiator Springs Racers is set to shut down on August 18.
There are no more details about this closure, so guests should expect the Cars-themed thrill ride to remain offline for the foreseeable future.
The Incredicoaster
Radiator Springs Racers is not the only thrill ride Disneyland will be losing this summer. The Incredicoaster closed on July 28 and will not reopen until after August 15.
Permanent closures are also on th way for Disneyland, with the resort set to expand and grow in exciting ways in 2026. Earlier this summer, Disneyland announced the closure of Monsters Inc. Mike & Sully to the Rescue, a classic Monsters Inc.-themed dark ride.
The ride will close in 2026 to make way for Disneyland’s upcoming Avatar land.
While there are a number of rides and attraction slated to close or be closed during the month of August, now is still a great time to take a trip to “The Happiest Place on Earth” as Disneyland is currently celebrating its 70th anniversary. This means all kinds of special limited time events, items, merchandise, and other experiences are available to visitors.
The celebration officially kicked off in July, and much like Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration a few years ago, Disneyland’s 70th birthday will last around a year, giving guests more than enough time to take part in the fun.
