Disneyland Resort just made some major updates for those hoping to celebrate a special occasion at Disney’s original theme park.
For guests at Disneyland Resort, part of the magic is knowing that you’re walking in the footsteps of Walt Disney himself. First opened in 1955 (and fresh off its 70th anniversary earlier this month), the Anaheim theme park still contains multiple attractions overseen by the company’s founder, including the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and “it’s a small world.”

Disneyland’s enthusiastic fans are always seeking new ways to experience this magic.
Over the years, Disney has introduced options such as backstage tours (including the ongoing A Story of Celebration: 70th Anniversary Guided Tour at Disneyland Resort offering) as well as after-hours events, such as the Disneyland After Dark series (which spans the likes of Pride Nite, 90s Nite, and Star Wars Nite) that cater to its most passionate guests.
For those truly dedicated to the Mouse, there’s also the option to rent out specific parts of the park for the most magical celebration of all: your wedding day.
Over the years, Disney has hosted weddings everywhere from the obvious romantic spot in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle to more niche locations, such as in front of Haunted Mansion.
These events typically take place after hours, away from the prying eyes of other guests, and start at a cool $15,000. Some of Disney’s most outlandish ceremonies have even been documented for television, with Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings (available on Disney+) capturing every aspect of the unique celebrations.

Disney Adds More Possible Wedding Locations to Disneyland
Moving forward, Disney has unlocked even more locations for guests to say “I do” at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Guests can now choose between three new romantic venues. Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons has added Magnolia Park Gazebo (located in New Orleans Square by Tiana’s Palace), Magnolia Park Terrace (near the Haunted Mansion), and Fantasy Faire Garden (set in the shadows of Sleeping Beauty Castle) to its lineup.
Each venue has a different capacity. Fantasy Faire Garden can hold a maximum of 10 guests, making it perfect for smaller, more intimate ceremonies.
Both Magnolia Park Gazebo and
Magnolia Park Terrace welcomes up to 30 guests. The latter two venues also offer newlyweds and their guests a celebratory ride on the Disneyland Railroad to Main Street, U.S.A. after the ceremony.

These new venues join over 100 wedding and vow renewal venues at Disney’s theme parks, as well as Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii, and the Disney Cruise Line.
Over at Walt Disney World Resort, for example, guests can get married in weird and wonderful spots everywhere from the American Adventure Rotunda in EPCOT’s World Showcase to the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Meanwhile, Disneyland Paris also offers wedding packages, with ceremonies available at various spots across the French theme park resort. However, the resort made headlines as a wedding destination for all the wrong reasons earlier this year when it was revealed that a convicted sex offender had managed to book a wedding that cost an estimated £110,000 (or nearly $150,000 USD) with a young child as his bride.
Would you ever get married at Disneyland?
