Credit: DisneyEarly this morning, a hot air balloon experienced an unexpected sideways descent at Disneyland Resort during a special Cast Member event celebrating the park’s 70th anniversary. The incident occurred around 6:45 a.m., just before a scheduled large group photo on Main Street.
The incident has made rounds on the social media platform Reddit due to the shocking and somewhat humorous appearance of the incident.
An Unexpected Incident
According to a witness, “It was a cast event to celebrate the 70th. 4-5 for hot air balloon photo op. And big group photo at Main Street around 6:45.” Footage shared on social media shows the balloon flying sideways near the crowd, raising concerns among attendees.
At this time, it has not been confirmed what caused the balloon’s unusual movement or if the descent was intentional. Disneyland Resort has not released an official statement regarding the incident.
70th Anniversary Begins!
