For a long time, there was one big thing that separated Disney theme parks from other theme parks — the food. Disney has always been focused on giving guests so much more than typical park fare.

Sure, guests can always dine on classics like cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, and pizza, but Disney is also known for unique offerings like pepperoni pizza spring rolls, cheeseburger steam pods, DOLE Whips, pickle corn dogs, the iconic “grey stuff” from Beauty and the Beast (1991), and more.

While Walt Disney World gets a lot of attention for its extensive food offerings — especially when there is an EPCOT festival going on — Disneyland Resort also offers a ton of great options. Guests love to dine on dishes like hand-dipped corn dogs, Monte Cristo sandwiches, house-made pickles, multiple flavors of churros, raspberry macarons, and more.

In addition to mouthwatering snacks and treats, Disneyland Resort also has some amazing quick-service and sit-down dining options. It can be very difficult to score reservations at eateries like Blue Bayou, Carthay Circle, and Napa Rose.

But perhaps one of the most difficult to get reservations is at the Lamplight Lounge on Pixar Pier. The restaurant celebrates the magic of Pixar animation, not only in its decorating, but also with its food and drinks. Guests can enjoy scrumptious options Lamplight French Toast, a Charbroiled Cheddar Burger, and the Scream Canister cocktail.

While it might be disappointing for guests who can’t get a reservation, Disney offers an amazing alternative — Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining! The outdoor seating area has a different menu, but the options are just as amazing. Guests can select from options like Lobster Nachos, Beef Sliders, Korean-Style Chicken Wings, and Beer-battered Fish Tacos.

Luckily, the amazing cocktails that are available at Lamplight Lounge are also available at Boardwalk Dining.

Three colorful drinks at Lamplight Lounge: a pink drink with pineapple, a tall green bubbly drink with red spheres and a smoky effect, plus another pink drink with mint. Secure your Lamplight Lounge reservations to enjoy these unique creations.

Lamplight Lounge opened in 2018, when Paradise Pier received a Pixar retheme and the Cove Bar became Lamplight. Since its opening, Boardwalk Dining has always been first-come, first-served, which led to long lines and longer waits.

However, that will soon change!

According to the Disneyland Resort website, beginning June 27, Lamplight Lounge will offer reservations, with bookings beginning June 26. That is a huge win for guests who love enjoying the dining spot, which sits right on Pixar Pier, giving incredible views along with incredible food!

While Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining has always been a first-come, first-served, guests have been able to join the Walk-Up Waitlist via the Disneyland app when they are close by in Disney California Adventure. Disney has not confirmed, but the Walk-Up Waitlist will most likely remain in place once the restaurant begins taking reservations.

As with other dining locations, reservations to Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining can be made up to sixty days in advance, beginning June 26.

Reservations are not required, but highly recommended, especially right now. Not only is it the busy summer season, but Disneyland Resort is currently celebrating its 70th anniversary, and the crowds are descending on The Happiest Place on Earth to celebrate.
