Some big Disney news will be dropping later this year.

The Disney theme parks have always changed and evolved with time, though 2025 is undoubtedly one of the most exciting and transformational years The Walt Disney Company has ever seen. An unprecedented number of rides and attractions are set to close. Some of these will be totally revamped, while others will be rebuilt into brand-new lands and locations.
Guests said goodbye to fan-favorite attractions like Muppet*Vision 3D and It’s Tough to Be a Bug earlier this year, with several more closures on the way. In July, Walt Disney World will close Tom Sawyer Island, Liberty Square Riverboat, and the Rivers of America as Magic Kingdom begins its ambitious Frontierland overhaul project.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios will also undergo a widespread overhaul. Over the last few months, Disney has shared small details about these projects, though the company is expected to deliver more concrete information later this year during its Destination D23 event in August.
