Credit: DisneyMagic Key Pass holders hoping to celebrate Disneyland70 on the Southern California Disney park’s actual birthday are out of luck. Disney Park Pass reservations for Annual Passholders have already sold out for Disneyland Resort’s 70th anniversary, July 17, 2025.
Earlier this year, Disneyland Resort revealed exciting offerings and updates for its 70th birthday with a “Celebrate Happiness” theme. Several Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Clarabelle, and Pluto, will debut all-new outfits. Themed decorations will brighten up areas throughout the Disney parks, including Sleeping Beauty Castle. And, of course, there will be plenty of exclusive merchandise and snacks!
At Disneyland Park, new offerings include the “Celebrate Happy” cavalcade with Duffy, Shellie May, and friends. “it’s a small world” will debut the “Tapestry of Happiness” projection show, new dolls inspired by Coco (2017), and a new song verse by the late Sherman Brothers.
On July 17, the “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” show will debut in the Main Street Opera House, featuring the first-ever Walt Disney audio-animatronic. Returning entertainment offerings include the Paint the Night parade and Wondrous Journeys fireworks.
Disney California Adventure Park will debut the all-new “World of Color Happiness!” interactive nighttime spectacular with a Muppets preshow and add 70th anniversary themed features to Toy Story Midway Mania!. The “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade will also return.
Most Disneyland70 celebrations begin on May 16 and continue through the summer of 2026—Magic Key Park Pass reservations sold out for the first day of the festivities back in February.
Months later, Magic Key Park Pass reservations have sold out for both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park on July 17, 2025. This date is not only Disneyland Resort’s actual birthday, but the day “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” debuts at Disneyland Park.
Only Inspire and Believe Keyholders could book reservations for the Southern California Disney parks on July 17. Enchant and Imagine Key holders were blocked out. The Disneyland Resort website now shows that both Inspire and Believe Key reservations are unavailable on the resort’s anniversary:
Magic Key Pass holders hoping to visit Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park on July 17 can check back closer to see if any cancellations pop up or purchase a single-day theme park ticket.
