There are so many amazing things to experience during a vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort — from the stunning resort hotels to the hundreds of delicious restaurants, incredible nighttime spectaculars at the theme parks, and more. One of the best places to experience the magic of Walt Disney World is, of course, the Magic Kingdom.

The Magic Kingdom opened in 1971 and has been the most popular theme park ever since. In fact, the Magic Kingdom is one of the most popular and most visited theme parks in the world.

Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom Park is full of iconic attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, the Haunted Mansion, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, and more.

Guests can also experience fun parades, exciting stage shows, and unforgettable nighttime spectaculars like Happily Ever After, which lights up the sky over Cinderella Castle.

And it was during one parade that guests had a unique experience they were not expecting.

Every day at the park, weather permitting, guests can snag a spot throughout several lands, and watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade. The parade celebrates everything the Magic Kingdom is about. It is full of classic characters like Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, and Minnie Mouse. It also features characters from iconic Disney movies like Tangled (2010) and The Little Mermaid (1989).

Of course, since it is the Festival of Fantasy Parade, it celebrates a world of fantasy like only Disney can do. The colors, music, characters, and dancing are all sure to make wonderful memories for guests. And you’ll want to make sure to keep an eye out for Maleficent in her dragon form, as she breathes actual fire!

The parade travels through Frontierland, Adventureland, and Liberty Square.

However, during a recent trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth, guests saw something very unexpected during the parade.

X (formerly Twitter) user Kalli (@sweehee_) shared an image of Mickey Mouse making his way through the park on his Festival of Fantasy Parade float. But instead of seeing the large hot air balloon that was supposed to be behind Mickey, he saw a deflated balloon that had apparently burst at some point during the parade.

THE FESTIVAL OF FANTASY BALLOON DEFLATED

Of course, Mickey and Minnie Mouse are the ultimate professionals and acted as though everything was normal, and they continued to dance and wave to guests in the crowd.

At this time, we do not know what caused the balloon to deflate. We do not know if it will be fixed or if Disney will be forced to temporarily remove the float from the Festival of Fantasy Parade until repairs can be made.
