In 2019, Universal announced that its Orlando Resort would be getting an incredible fourth theme park. Now, after almost six years, that fourth theme park — Epic Universe — is set to open in just a couple of months. The theme park was originally supposed to open in 2023, but just six months after Epic Universe was announced, construction had to be put on pause because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the pandemic setback, Universal worked incredibly hard to get everything back on track. Of course, the opening had to be pushed back, but after nearly six years, we are just a couple of months away from the official May opening!

Epic Universe is not yet open to the public, but the theme park is so close to completion that Universal team members are currently able to visit the theme park for previews. Another great perk is that they are being allowed to bring family and friends with them.
Unfortunately, that perk is also becoming a problem for Universal.
When visiting Epic Universe, team members and those in their party must sign an agreement, stating that they will not take any pictures or videos or talk about what they saw in the new park. Universal is trying its hardest to keep a lot of things secret until the park opens to the public.

However, it appears that not everyone who goes to the theme park preview cares all that much about the agreement they signed. And one “influencer” is getting called out on social media for filming in an area that was restricted.
X (formerly Twitter) user Shawn In Orlando shared an image of someone filming the entrance to one of the lands in Epic Universe. In concept art, Universal has revealed that guests will travel through different portals to enter different areas of the theme park.
Now, it doesn’t appear that Shawn is saying the “influencer” will get in trouble. Instead, the punishment will most likely fall on the team member who brought the “influencer” into the park.

Commenters were shocked by the image, criticizing the person who posted the video for blatantly ignoring the rules just so they could be one of the first people to post a video from inside Epic Universe.
Despite all the criticism, the poster of the video, Disneyworld Vacationer, doesn’t seem very interested in taking the footage down. They also posted the video on their YouTube page, where the comments were also focused on the fact that the poster ignored the rules they agreed to.
To make things even worse, a sign saying that guests are not allowed to take pictures for video can be seen IN THE FOOTAGE.
*Inside the Magic is not sharing the video footage, out of respect for Universal’s filming rules*

Sadly, this YouTuber is not the only person ignoring Universal’s rules. Last week, Universal sent an email blast to team members reiterating the people they are allowed to bring with them to the Epic Universe previews.
While Universal did not explicitly say that vloggers and influencers were becoming a big problem, many people read between the lines.
If you are lucky enough to see Epic Universe before it opens to the public, please respect the rules you agree to when entering. You are not to take pictures or videos and share them with the public.
Epic Universe is set to open to the public on May 22, 2025, and tickets to the new theme park are now on sale.
What do you think Universal should do about these vloggers and “influencers” who ignore the NDA and rules they agreed to when entering Epic Universe? Should Universal find them and permanently ban them from the parks? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
