I have always enjoyed the Star Wars movies and have been a fan for 46 years. I think people have been too critical of them and towards the actors and need to take them for what they are…entertaining movies. I really like Rey’s character and thought she did an excellent job. I don’t really care for the change from movies to the tv shows and I would like to see more movies made instead, just my opinion.
I’m a true Star Wars fan. I have seen all 9 of the movies in the 3 trilogies in the theater on opening night. I thought how they portrayed Luke in the sequel trilogy was okay, though I would have liked to see a lot more of him in The Force Awakens instead of just for a minute at the very end of the film.
However, bringing back Palpatine was the worst writing possibly in the history of cinema and those responsible for it should never be allowed to work in Hollywpod ever again.
K.Kennedy must have a lot of dirt on a lot of people…. To continue in that position despite destroying pretty much all the most famous franchises on the big screen…
Star Wars needs to be left alone for at least a decade…
Let people forget all those last dreadful films and series and, hopefully, Kennedy will have left by that time.
It is impossible to build anything of value and interest in the current situation, too much damage has been done.
I have been a fan of Star Wars since my mom took me to see the original movie when it first came out in theaters in 1977 and I was 5 years old. We lived in the Chicago area and I once got to spend almost a half an hour talking with Gene Siskel about Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back (the only two movies that had been released at the time the conversation took place).
In other words, I really love Star Wars.
I was very sad to see what they did with the sequel trilogy. Then got my hopes up with the return to greatness with shows like The Mandalorian and Ahsoka and now Skeleton Crew. (I’m pretending that The Acolyte never happened!) These next few Star Wars movies will really determine whether Star Wars returns to the glory of the original trilogy or falls victim to “has been” status that happens with so many long-running IP movie franchises.
I would have greatly preferred a trilogy from Benioff and Weiss over this new one-shot concept from Mangold. But the die has already been cast, so now I’m just hoping that Mangold makes a great movie with this opportunity that he has been given.
I really have to ask though: why didn’t Lucasfilm give Lawrence Kasdan the opportunity to write and direct a Star Wars movie at any point in the “new era”? Really seems to me like that would be the biggest no-brainer of all time.
I hope they don’t develop anything. Stars has been horrible since disney took over. If they develop something new I think the franchise will be destroy.
Why is Kathleen still in charge there has been a good star wars movie since rogue one and years since they released anything in theaters it’s just been disappointment after disappointment and she’s still in charge how can anyone stay positive about star wars anymore the mandalorian is the only thing that’s been good and lets face it the last season wasn’t that good and they just keep teasing us with new movies and then cancel them in pre-production
Wow what a bunch of whining people this woke thing really doesn’t bother me yeah introduce new male and female characters leading the way yes tell new stories would preferences past stories rather than present and future ones move away from them and move where the jedi once was i like the idea of going backwards and showing what a jedi should truly be ,Tell more sith stories past present and future we don’t know enough on the big screen (some people haven’t read any of the literature) stop moaning about to many woman cos basically all your trying to say is no one from the opposite sex should be a main hero or villain and over the 10s of thousands of years your basically saying not one female hero would have appeared grow up we have great females in our own history even though at the time they had no rights everything against them ffs get with the time stop living in the 1800s and lower

I agree with you 100%

You’re not a true Star Wars fan if you’re okay with the way they did Luke Skywalker in Disney’s Trashquel movies.

The next Star Wars movie is The Mandalorian and Grogu. So that’s a pretty huge reason to be positive about the future of Star Wars.
