How very sad, and not at all like it was when I was at Disney Hollywood Studios13 years ago. Of course, I cannot speak on behalf of how Disneyland runs their parks.
Having worked in an area that dealt with these situations, that would never have been how it was handled.
Guests were escorted through the park, usually by security or management, to health services where they were met by a van that would take them to the hospital or urgent care. They would get all of the contract information, where they were staying and keep in contact with the guest for however long it took, proving support to the family. Hearing this is extremely disappointing!! I am so sorry!

It is very distressing to see how the quality of cast members has disintegrated over the years. Walt would be very upset, I would imagine. There are still some exceptions, but the sense of genuine caring and superlative guest care is missing. The park is overcrowded to the point of being dangerous in an emergency situation like this one. She should have been escorted to the garage! She wasn’t expecting anything extraordinary, and the park blew it big time.

As much money as you she spent at Disneyland, it is shocking that they did not ensure that the family was taken care of to get to the hospital. As she mentioned, she was not familiar with the area. Disneyland dropped the ball. I would ne et want yo ho there again.

Any vacation trip is expensive. Why does everyone think disney or any vacation trip owes them. You pay because you wanted to go there if it’s to expensive don’t go.

Agreed. If you go on vacation, where’s your personal servants waiting on you? If Disney dropped everything to over-cater to every guest that has an emergency, the parks would have no staff left running that place.

The fact that emergency services arrived a fast as they could really says something. The fact that an entitled woman with a Tik Tok account demands more…

I get that this was a family crisis. I would feel helpless, too. However, how much of my feelings deems me worthy of presidential treatment?

While it Epcot Center, someone close to me had a seizure. She was spent to the hospital. She got charged for the ambulance ride & hospital check. We missed half a day at Disney. Neither the hospital nor the ambulance took Medicare/Medicaid, apparently.

Now you know that — even though _I_ had experienced a medical crisis at Disney, I STILL CLAIM that Disney did what they could. I STILL CLAIM that the woman wasn’t being understanding.

Here’s my thing it’s not their responsibility to get her to the hospital she was only a park guest he wasn’t injured via Disney attraction. I can guarantee she had maps on her phone I can also guarantee that she had used it while in California.

She was not demanding a personal escort to the hospital. She needed to get taken to the garage. If you’ve been to Disneyland on Christmas week, you’d know it is terribly over packed and very difficult to walk. They have security golf carts and could have driven her to the garage quickly.

      2. Danny O.

        Agreed.

Disneyland should have escorted her to her car in the garage. She was not demanding a personal escort to the hospital. It is so insanely overcrowded on Christmas that it is difficult to walk through the crowds.

I’m sorry to hear about your situation. But they did get to your husband ASAP! But they also got you the information you needed. Security is the important and that is why Security can’t leave they area. They saw that you two were able to get to your car. And yes you wanted to be there, but you got to the hospital as in was coming out of surgery. I’m glad that he got the medical attention he got.

This is why social media is causing too many “entitled” people feel like they can trash a place for not catering to their every whim.

Walt would have had heads if he knew his quests were treated so calously in such a stressful situation. What if this happened to their family. Hope you callus people that think money solves everything. They could have at the least took her and daughter to her car right away. So disappointed in you Disneyland.

But they weren’t you do not move a heart attack victim unless they are in danger the security was notified who then notified the nurse and fire department and an ambulance arrived I’m sure that all happened quick Walt I do not believe would have given her a ride to the hospital as for the structure she could have spoken to the cast members at the team and she would of been on immediately. It’s not the responsibility of Disney to get her to the hospital

      1. Danny O.

True. This reminds me of the burglar that used the family of the house he was robbing. He stepped on a sharp ornament, tripped into the tree, and got further injured.

Disney did what they were supposed to do. They didn’t have any obligation to carry that woman on their shoulders to a private helicopter; so she can be transported to with the hospital or her car. She is not the president with secret service.

Wow such thoughtful people glad I font know you

I see it for what ít is disnéy did everything it cóuld to get the man to the hospital as quickly as possible in order to avoid a possible lawsuit, and that’s were they drew the line.could they have done more yes should théy probably would going the extra mile define the true meaning of Christmas undoughtedly did Disney fail at this most definitely.whill they learn from it, probably not.

I get the frustration. I was denied, which led to delay entry, for using my fold out ADA cane chair. I have 6 body replacements and do my best to walk but when I can’t, I use the cane chair which folds flat. I had to get a manager’s approval, tears and an hr later, they let me and my daughter in. Horrible experience. The VP told me, sue me if you don’t like it. I refuse to let them ruin Disneyland for us. It is common now to let in the cane chairs. Iay have made a difference for disabled people

I understand the crisis and situation completely. However if you were this distraught the Uber / Lyft pickup area is just to the left of the entrance off Harbor Blvd. The wait is minutes and there are countless drivers waiting to drive you. If you were so distraught then this should have been a possible solution in getting to the hospital ASAP which was either UCI 10 min away of Anaheim Medical Center about 5 min away? Quit blaming Disney for not coming to your every need. I am sure that they had about 60,000+ guests to attend too.
