On January 12, Hester & Chester’s Dino-Rama! officially closed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Most of DinoLand U.S.A. has closed as crews prepare to transform the area into Tropical Americas, themed after the Indiana Jones franchise and Encanto (2021). The only part of DinoLand remaining open is the DINOSAUR attraction, which will stay open through 2025.

While DinoLand never became a very popular area, fans were upset to learn that it was closing and flooded Dino-Rama! in its final days. The Dino-Rama! area included TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games midway activities, and Hester & Chester’s Dinosaur Treasures store, all of which are now closed permanently.

While Dino-Rama! might be closed permanently, some Disney fans are hoping that not all of the rides are extinct.

TriceraTop Spin was a flying gondola ride, similar to Dumbo the Flying Elephant and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin in the Magic Kingdom. Guests would board a Triceratops and fly into the air.

After the ride’s closure, one person shared that they would love to see the ride relocated to Disney’s Hollywood Studios — specifically, Toy Story Land.

Saw someone mention this should be moved to Toy Story Land and I have to 100% agree. Just the kind of attraction that area needs.

If you are wondering how a dinosaur-themed ride would fit into Toy Story Land, well, the answer is quite simple — Trixie!

Trixie is an adorable blue Triceratops who was first introduced in Toy Story 3 (2010) when Woody is taken from Sunnyside Daycare to Bonnie’s house. She has since appeared in Toy Story 4 (2019), Toy Story Toons, Toy Story OR TERROR! (2013), Toy Story That Time Forgot (2014), Forky Asks a Question, and Pixar Popcorn.

All the ride would require is a paint job to make the Triceratops look like Trixie, and bam, the ride could seamlessly fit into the area!

Some commenters worried that Trixie wouldn’t fit into the Toy Story Land area, because it is themed to be Andy’s backyard. Others pointed out that there were already characters from Toy Story 3 featured in Toy Story Mania, so TriceraTop Spin would not be that out of place.

However, many commenters agreed that a new ride was exactly what the land needed. Even though it would be another “flat attraction” — along with Alien Swirling Saucers — they argued that Disney’s Hollywood Studios needs more rides in general.

Oh yesss!! A quick coat of paint and it would help with the parks lack of rides

One commenter liked the idea of TriceraTop Spin coming to Hollywood Studios, and said that many of the rides are meant for an older audience. Notable rides in the theme park include Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
