Disney is suspending multiple sailings aboard its Disney Fantasy cruise ship due to the ship’s drydock dates. Guests who have the ship booked between October 20 and November 12, 2025, are now being notified of the cancellation via email.
“Our Disney Cruise Line ships undergo a drydock every few years for needed maintenance and refurbishment,” the company said in a statement. Disney says it had to cancel select Fantasy sailings due to “unplanned changes” in the ships’ scheduled drydock dates.
Guests who had sailings already booked are being offered a full refund of their original payment as well as a 20% discount on future voyages.
Any funds applied towards the reservations will be refunded to their original forms of payment, Disney tells guests.
“We sincerely apologize for any disappointment it may cause and welcome the opportunity to assist you in rescheduling your sailing around the same timeframe,” the company said.

Disney Cruise Line began in 1998 with the Magic, the company’s first cruise ship. Over the last two decades, Disney has revamped, upgraded, and overhauled its cruise experience in a multitude of ways, notably with the number of ships it has under its belt.
Disney now owns and operates six cruise ships, each offering its own entertainment and dining experiences. The newest addition to the fleet is the Disney Treasure, which set sail for its maiden voyage in December 2024.
Disney also has several ships currently in development, like the Destiny and the Adventure, both of which will set sail sometime in 2025.
