“Wildcats everywhere, raise your hands up in the air!”

Many a millennial look back and fondly remember movies like High School Musical (2006), The Parent Trap (1998), and Camp Rock (2008). We also remember trying to learn the moves to songs like “We’re All In This Together” and the handshake between Martin and Annie.

And while it’s been a while since those movies were flooding the small screen and the big screen, the iconic dances — and The Disney Channel itself — are making a comeback!

But you won’t believe who is bringing the moves back!

It’s hard to imagine rough-and-tumble football players as interested in dances, especially those created by Disney, but it seems that the Mouse House has infiltrated the National Football League!

Over the past couple of months, multiple NFL teams have gone viral for their celebration dances, proving that a love of Disney knows no bounds. Let’s take a look at some of them!

On October 6, two Minnesota Vikings players—Camryn Bynum and Josh Metellus—celebrated an interception against the New York Jets by recreating the handshake from The Parent Trap. Lindsay Lohan, the star of the movie, even spoke about how cool it was.

What Disney Channel kid doesn’t remember the drawing of Mickey Mouse ears with an animated wand? What made things even better was behind-the-scenes footage of what exactly it looked like when the Disney Channel stars were trying to draw the ears with a plain stick. But the end result was pure Disney magic.

On October 13, Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery celebrated a touchdown by reenacting the famous drawing. And Disney fans around the world were thrilled to see it.

While it’s hard to imagine High School Musical as anything but a wildly successful film franchise, remember, it actually started out as a Disney Channel Original Movie. The only High School Musical movie that hit theaters was High School Musical 3: Senior Year in 2008.

It’s been 18 years since the first film premiered on the Disney Channel, but the Minnesota Vikings brought it back to life on December 29. Camryn Bynum, the same safety who learned The Parent Trap handshake, taught the rest of his team the dance from “We’re All In This Together”, and it looks like they had a lot of fun performing it for fans.

The Minnesota Vikings should just become backup dancers for the next Disney musical at the rate they are going. Cam Bynum — who appears to be a HUGE Disney fan — did not only learn the dance from High School Musical, but also the Camp Rock dance from Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010).

On top of being a talented football player and a Disney fan, he is also a great teacher, as his team pulled his dance off as well. And just like with the handshake, the team received praise from The Jonas Brothers themselves!

We don’t know why there is a sudden uptick in Disney-themed dances in the NFL, but we are here for it! Cam Bynum was born in 1998, so he’s not technically a millennial, but he was clearly raised with a deep love for Disney. All we can do is hope that he keeps learning more dances and his team continues to delight fans!
