A Walt Disney World Resort guest claims that security cast members never showed up when a drunk woman attempted to break into their hotel room at Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
Disney’s Pop Century Resort is one of Walt Disney World Resort’s Value Resort hotels. This Disney Resort is directly across Hourglass Lake from Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and offers Disney Skyliner access to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.
In response to a thread about issues at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Redditor u/jrtasoli shared an unsettling experience from Disney’s Pop Century Resort. They explained that an inebriated guest tried to break into their Disney Resort hotel room–but they were more shaken by the lack of response from Walt Disney World Resort security and Guest Services management.
“Once had a drunk lady try and break into my hotel room at Pop,” the Walt Disney World Resort guest recalled. “Called for security. Nobody ever came.”
It took repeated communication for the guests to reach the right Disney cast members to handle their situation.
“Next day I tried to talk to the manager but they blew me off (possibly because of my age, I was in my early 20s then),” they continued. “Eventually I called and emailed and got a refund + future stay. Took a lot of persistence to break through the runaround.”
