Disney Channel and Disney Junior are set to cease all broadcasts in multiple countries beginning January 1, 2025.

Disney General Entertainment Content, formerly Walt Disney Television, creates media for ages two to seven on Disney Junior and ages six to fourteen on Disney Channel. Although many families have pivoted to streaming services for entertainment, Disney Channel is beloved for shows like That’s So RavenThe Suite Life of Zack and CodyHannah MontanaWizards of Waverly Place, Phineas & Ferb, and more.

Now that many of these series’ fans have grown up and built their own families, Disney has upped the nostalgia factor by creating spinoff shows like Raven’s Home and Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.

According to Whats on Disney Plus, The Walt Disney Company has announced that it will stop broadcasting the following channels in Brazil beginning February 28, 2025: Disney Channel, National Geographic, Star Channel, and FX. ESPN will remain on the air, and viewers can still access most Disney programs through Disney+.

Disney said it made these changes “in response to the transformations in the local media and entertainment landscape and to ensure we continue to evolve and meet the needs of our consumers with agility and innovation.”
