The Disneyland Resort, also known by many as “The Happiest Place on Earth,” is filled to the absolute brim with iconic rides and attractions, as well as a whole slew of delicious eateries and dazzling live entertainment options. From thrilling roller coasters through the Swiss Alps on Matterhorn Bobsleds or a relaxing boat ride around the globe on “it’s a small world,” there’s something for guests of any and every age to enjoy.

The fun and magic are practically endless across all of Disney’s theme parks and resorts, with several exciting new developments currently taking shape both domestically and internationally.

At Disneyland, Disney Imagineers are in the beginning stages of bringing Pandora to the California resort. More information on this massive expansion was officially unveiled during Disney’s D23 event this August. At Disneyland Paris, work is underway on the resort’s upcoming World of Frozen expansion, as well as a new attraction based on The Lion King.

However, despite being thousands of miles apart, these two Disney resorts recently shared something in common, and it’s probably the last thing guests would expect to happen at the theme parks.

On September 9, a glass lamp crashed to the ground at the Disneyland Resort. Popular Disney news source Disneyland News Today happened to be on the scene during the incident and snapped a photo of the remains of the glass globe lamp.

The accident occurred on Pixar Pier, an area found inside Disney California Adventure, one of two theme parks at the Disneyland Resort.

It’s unknown what caused the glass lamp cover to come crashing down, but several Disneyland cast members can be seen blocking the area.

This event is unusual enough, but a similar incident occurred earlier this week at the Disneyland Paris Resort. Disneyland Paris news source DLP report recorded a short video inside the Plaza East Shop, revealing a can light had fallen out of its socket.

It’s also unknown what caused this minor accident to unfold, though, like its American counterpart, crews likely took care of the issue quickly.

Disneyland Paris has suffered multiple incidents similar to this one in recent years inside Avengers Campus, the resort’s Marvel-themed land, with a particular building proving to be quite susceptible to damage.
