It looks like Disney has added a new Pirates of the Caribbean character to their theme parks, and it is not what you may think.

One of the most iconic characters to come out of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and Disney as a whole is Jack Sparrow, a character whom Johnny Depp truly sculpted into a memorable and beloved being.
When Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl was brought to life in 2003, Johnny Depp came to the screen with a drunk, witty, cunning, eccentric, witty, deceptive, charismatic, unpredictable, and free-spirited pirate that audiences ate up.
Fans would go on to run to the theater for all 5 movies, making a billion $4.5 billion dollars, creating one of the most successful franchises that the House of Mouse has ever created, with Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow leading the charge during each movie. Jack Sparrow became so popular that Disney added an uncanny animatronic to the Pirates of the Caribbean attractions at the Disney parks.
Additionally, there are character performers who look just like Johnny Depp in the films that you can see at multiple Disney parks, including Disney World, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo DisneySea, and more.
That being said, there has been a large rift between Disney and Johnny Depp ever since the Amber Heard allegations, putting an even bigger rift between Disney and Jack Sparrow.

The Depp-Heard legal battle significantly impacted the entertainment industry, drawing attention to issues of domestic violence, defamation, and the power dynamics between celebrities and the media. The case fueled intense public debate and polarized opinions, with both Depp and Heard facing considerable backlash.
Depp’s negative press was so loud that Disney decided to fire him from the franchise before a verdict was even reached. In the end, Depp was proven innocent, but he stated that after Disney had shared their lack of loyalty, he would never return to the franchise.
This incited a major boycott of the franchise from fans, and now Disney has been forced to look at rebooting the whole series for a Pirates of the Caribbean 6 film.

The trial’s outcome raised important questions about social media’s role in shaping public opinion and the consequences of unverified accusations. It also highlighted the need for due process and the potential career ramifications for high-profile individuals embroiled in legal disputes.
Additionally, the case illuminated the difficulties victims of domestic violence face when coming forward, as well as the serious consequences of false accusations. It sparked a broader conversation around gender-based violence and the necessity for more robust support systems for victims.
As for the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, its future remains uncertain, with Disney navigating the fallout from the case. The fate of Captain Jack Sparrow and the direction of the franchise are clearly in a state of flux.
So, it looks like in regard to Pirates of the Caribbean in the parks, Disney is keeping the IP alive with other characters.
At Disneyland Paris, ED92 noticed that Angela Teach was out greeting guests.
“Yo Ho, yo Ho! A pirates life for me 🏴☠️✨ Angelica Teach is also joining the Party”.
