Currently, Marvel Studios’ first-ever Disney+ (Disney Plus) original production, WandaVision, is set to expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and its Multiverse with two exciting new spinoff series.

These additions include Vision Quest, whose production is somewhat uncertain and originally expected to premiere around 2025, and Halloween extravaganza Agatha All Along, which will focus on Kathryn Hahn’s character, Agatha Harkness.

The witchy new Marvel Television show, originally titled Agatha: House of Harkness, later underwent several name changes, becoming Agatha: Coven of Chaos and then Agatha: Darkhold Diaries. The latest iteration briefly included Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe — clearly a clever marketing attempt on Marvel Studios’ part.

However, the title has now been retconned to the much catchier and fitting Agatha All Along, just like the fan-favorite jingle from WandaVision.

Directed by WandaVision‘s Jac Schaeffer, the new Disney+ show is set to adopt a “musical theater” style, drawing inspiration from the surprise success of songs like “Agatha All Along.”

Adding to the anticipation, renowned lyricists and composers Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, celebrated for their work on Broadway hits like The Book of Mormon and Disney’s Frozen, have created the catchy tunes featured in WandaVision.

Broadway icon Patti LuPone will take on the role of the older witch Lilia Calderu within the witches’ coven, and she has been quite vocal about her excitement behind the scenes.

The new Marvel TV series will also feature Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza), Alice (Ali Ahn), and Sorceress Jennifer Kale (Sasheer Zamata). On top of Joe Locke’s anticipated performance as “Teen” (likely Scarlet Witch’s son Wiccan/Billy Maximoff/Billy Kaplan from the Marvel Comics), there are rumors that Miles Gutierrez-Riley might play “Billy’s Boyfriend” or “Teddy.”

However, there’s also speculation that Kit Connor, a co-star from Heartstopper, could be considered for the role of Hulkling — AKA Teddy Altman/Theodore Altman from Marvel Comics.

Emma Caulfield Ford as Sarah Proctor (formerly Dottie Jones), David Payton as John Collins/Herb, David Lengel as Harold Proctor/Phil Jones (Sarah’s husband), Asif Ali as Abilash Tandon/Norm, Fred Melamed and Debra Jo Rupp as Mr. and Mrs. Hart, and Amos Glick as the pizza delivery man, Dennis, are reprising their roles from WandaVision as Westview residents.
