Everyone knows Danny Trejo, even if you don’t know Danny Trejo. In his over 40 years in Hollywood, he has been in almost everything. So, even if you don’t know him, you’ve seen Danny Trejo in something.

However, Trejo was involved in a brawl over a water balloon during a Fourth of July parade.

Actor Danny Trejo was invited to the Sunland-Tujunga Parade, just outside of Los Angeles, as the parade’s guest of honor. In some social media posts, Trejo can be seen waving to the audience, signing autographs, and posing for pictures.

For the Independence Day celebration, Trejo brought out his vintage convertible for the parade. While he was being driven down the route, some audience members started throwing water balloons at the Spy Kids (2001) star.

At first, Trejo stopped the car and asked them not to hit his car with the water balloons. After they refused to stop, Trejo exited his car, and the fight ensued.

In social media posts, Trejo can be seen throwing punches at someone in the crowd. After he lands his first punch, Trejo is knocked to the ground. He quickly jumped back up and continued to fight.

Onlookers yelled at the men as they continued the brawl, and only after someone yelled that there were kids in the audience did the fight stop.

After the Independence Day Parade incident, Trejo told TMZ that the people throwing the balloons were in their 30s and acting “childish.” He also said he regrets the incident because he has “nothing but love” for the Sunland-Tujunga Parade.

The 80-year-old actor says he’s physically fine from the July 4th parade fight.

Who is Danny Trejo?

Before he was actor Danny Trejo, he was San Quentin State Prison convict Danny Trejo. Trejo spent 11 years in prison when he was younger for drugs.

While in prison, Trejo entered a 12-step program and turned his life around. When he was released, he met a man at an NA meeting, who later called Trejo for help with his addiction.

When Trejo responded to the man’s call for help, he met up with him on the set of Runaway Train (1985). When the director saw Trejo, he cast him as a convict.

Trejo had a background in boxing and taught star Eric Roberts how to box. Through this wild series of events, Trejo’s 40-year acting career began.

He has played chiefly tough guys throughout his career, starring in several Robert Rodriguez films and the Spy Kids series. His IMDB page shows he is among the hardest-working men in television and movies, with 25 upcoming productions.

Beyond his challenging guy roles, Trejo is also known as one of the nicest men in Hollywood, and hopefully, this incident will not damage his reputation.
