Disney Guests Rejoice as Budget-Friendly Airfare Returns

Budget flights between Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, operated by Breeze Airways, have resumed. Guests can now book nonstop flights between the two domestic Disney Parks. The flights operate between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and John Wayne Airport (SNA), with tickets starting at $89 one way. These flights are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

The return of the “Disney to Disney” flights was announced in December 2023 after being paused in September. Although initially scheduled for February 2024, June marks the first availability of these flights this year. Breeze Airways introduced 2023 as a unique budget service between Orlando and Santa Ana, initially offering a $69 fare as an introductory rate.

Flights were scheduled once daily, departing from California in the morning and returning from Florida in the evening. Breeze Airways, legally known as Breeze Aviation Group, Inc., is an American low-cost airline headquartered in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. The airline was founded by David Neeleman, who co-founded Morris Air, WestJet, JetBlue, and Azul Linhas Aéreas.

Breeze’s operations launched on May 27, 2021, with its inaugural flight from Tampa International Airport to Charleston International Airport.

Breeze Airways temporarily suspended nonstop flights from John Wayne Airport to Orlando International Airport, a route popular among Disney fans traveling between Disneyland and Walt Disney World in Florida. According to company officials, the nonstop route was paused from October 3 to February 14, 2024, as reported by KTLA.

The reintroduction of Breeze Airways’ nonstop flights between John Wayne Airport and Orlando International Airport marks a significant convenience for Disney fans. Travelers now have the option to book direct flights, streamlining their journey between Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. By offering nonstop service on select days of the week, Breeze Airways provides guests greater flexibility and efficiency in their travel plans.

This means visitors can spend less time traveling and more time enjoying the magic of Disney. Moreover, with fares starting at $89 one way, the flights offer an affordable option for guests, mainly families looking to explore both Disney destinations. This budget-friendly pricing makes it easier for travelers to plan their vacations without breaking the bank.

Additionally, the availability of nonstop flights eliminates the need for layovers or connecting flights, reducing travel time and potential stress for guests. Overall, the return of Breeze Airways’ flights between Disneyland and Disney World presents an attractive travel option for Disney enthusiasts, allowing them to seamlessly experience the magic of both resorts with greater convenience and affordability.

With fares starting at $89 one way, these flights offer a more budget-friendly option than other airlines. By providing direct service between the two Disney destinations, guests can avoid the added expenses of connecting flights or longer travel times associated with layovers.

Additionally, the availability of nonstop flights reduces the overall cost of travel by minimizing the need for additional transportation, such as ground transfers or overnight stays during layovers.

By offering competitive fares starting at $89 one way, Breeze Airways provides an affordable travel option for guests visiting the Disney parks on both coasts. This move may encourage other airlines to introduce similar budget-friendly routes or adjust their pricing to remain competitive.

Additionally, the success of Breeze Airways’ Disney-to-Disney flights could prompt the airline to expand its services or offer more routes catering to theme park travelers, further increasing options for budget-conscious guests.
