Season 4 of Stranger Things picks up six months after the Battle of Starcourt, with our heroes scattered. Eleven and the Byers fmaily have relocated to California, where Eleven grapples with a new school and the loss of her powers. Meanwhile, back in Hawkins, the remaining friends navigate high school drama while a new horror emerges – Vecna, a monstrous entity from the Upside Down.
The seemingly ordinary town of Hawkins holds a dark secret – the Creel House. This Victorian mansion witnessed a horrific tragedy in 1979. A teenager named Henry Creel, possessing telekinetic abilities like Eleven, used them for evil, murdering his family and opening a gate to the Upside Down. After Henry was found by “Papa,” he became 001, an all too-powerful version of Eleven. After gaining Eleven’s trust and having the power blocker that Martin Brenner inserted into him removed, Creel takes out his frustrations on every adult and child in the Hawkins lab, killing everyone.

Eleven was appalled by his actions and sent Henry to the Upside Down, where he became the monstrous Vecna.
The Creel House becomes a central point in the season. Eleven, while attempting to regain her powers, stumbles upon these disturbing memories. In Hawkins, the friends uncover the house’s dark history and use it as a base to investigate Vecna and his connection to recent disappearances. A final confrontation between Eleven and Vecna unfolds within the haunted walls of the Creel House, with the fate of Hawkins resting on the outcome.
Understanding the tragedy that transpired within these walls holds the key to defeating Vecna and saving the town once again.
Now, it seems the Creel house will not be needed much in season 5, as it was for sale and just sold.

AOL writes, “The house featured as the home in the fourth season of “Stranger Things” baddie Vecna is on the market in Rome, Georgia, for $1.5 million. Luckily, it looks nothing like the dilapidated estate seen in the Netflix series. The home, which was built in 1882, was restored by its latest owners to its original grandeur.”
“You will recognize much of what has been prominently featured in the show’s fourth season, including the majestic formal dining room where telekinesis is no longer practiced during meals; an adjoining parlor, perfect for playing Dungeons and Dragons; and a living room ideal for hosting meetings of the Hellfire Club,” reads the listing by Toles, Temple & Wright, Inc. Real Estate.

The five-bedroom, five-bathroom house also comes with a two-bedroom guest house. Some of the more unique features of the home include a cast iron urinal, an antique wall safe and a 15-foot kitchen island.
According to the listing, the actual 6,000-square-foot home was used as a popular bed and breakfast for “many years.” It was last sold in 2019 for $350,000, according to the Georgia MLS.
Now, the house has been marked as sold.
The listing read:
“In a Stranger turn of events, the iconic “Creel House” can be yours! Originally constructed circa 1882 by Col. Hamilton Yancey, the current owners have restored the home to its original grandeur [despite a dramatic makeover for Netflix’s “Stranger Things”]. For more than 140 years, the palatial East Rome Historic District residence — with its elaborate Victorian architecture in the Second Empire style and signature mansard roof — has welcomed passersby into nearby Downtown Rome.
Lightyears away from the Upside Down, the home, with its splendor and grand modernization, awaits her next stewards. An unparalleled provenance and pop culture pedigree translate to a one-of-a-kind opportunity that won’t last long. Time is of the essence. So if you’re thinking about running up that hill to make the deal to become the next owners of this magnificent dwelling, don’t let the grandfather clock chime even once.”
Brown also stated she knows how her character’s journey will turn out, but not how the show will end. We also know that the character of Will Byers will hold a large role in the final season, as we saw teased at the end of season 4 when Byers could feel Vecna around.
Here’s the anticipated cast lineup for Stranger Things season 5:
Noah Schnapp returns as Will Byers, joined by Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, and Joe Keery as Steve Harrington. Also making a comeback are Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley, Brett Gelman as Murray Bauman, Priah Ferguson as Erica Sinclair, and Paul Reiser as Dr. Sam Owens. Jamie Campbell Bower takes on the role of Peter Ballard/Henry Creel/One/Vecna, while Cara Buono reprises her role as Karen Wheeler. Additionally, Gabriella Pizzolo returns as Susie, alongside Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven/Jane Hopper, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, and Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair.
