A musical performance at Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite left some Disney Park guests questioning the special event’s family-friendly environment.

Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite welcomes dedicated members of The Resistance for a late night at Disneyland Park. For $159+, guests can delight in Lucasfilm-themed treats, entertainment offerings, character encounters, exclusive merchandise, and more on select nights from April 16 to May 19. The event officially runs from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., but guests can enter Disneyland Park without a Disney Park Pass reservation as soon as 6:00 p.m.

“Enjoy Star Wars Character sightings, event-themed menu selections and exciting entertainment—including a lightsaber instructional and the Fans of the Force Costume Cavalcade, a celebration that invites Guests dressed in Star Wars costumes to join in a march down Main Street, U.S.A.!” Disneyland Resort writes. “Plus, discover special Star Wars-themed photo opportunities, merchandise and more!”

The inaugural 2024 Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite kicked off last night. Some guests rushed to shorter lines on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. Others waited in hours-long lines for event-exclusive character meet-and-greets like Hera, an Ewok, the Jawas, Padme, Luke, Leia, and R2D2. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse even showed up in R2D2 and BB8 DisneyBounds!

The Cantina Band performed Star Wars-inspired music on a floatilla in the Rivers of America throughout the evening. It was this entertainment offering that spurred stifled giggles from Disney Park guests.

“Disneyland is just covered with Jizz during Stars Wars Nite! ✨” @gratuitousthemeparks wrote on TikTok. The guest shared this video of the extraterrestrial musicians performing a fictional music style formerly known as “Jizz.”

The awkwardly-named genre originated in 1983. In the novel “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi,” author James Kahn first mentioned musicians trained as “jizz-wailers.” In 1995’s “Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina,” authors canonized “Jizz” as an upbeat, swing sound played. The laughter-inducing name was officially replaced with “jatz” in 2023’s “Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View: Return of The Jedi.”

Still, fans enjoyed joking that Disneyland Resort filled the Rivers of America with “Jizz” during a late-night event attended mostly by adults.

“I passed out 17 times but it’s finally done,” @thesamsungsmartfridge joked.
