This article is spot on. My wife and I (no kids) spent so much time trying to find even a two seat table to eat that our food got cold. Eventually we just plopped down at a five top that some woman had been sitting at since the time we walked into Woody’s, waited in line, made, then finally got, our order. If she was waiting for someone, they should have arrived long before the time we took our seats. She gave us a mean look, but didn’t say a word. I don’t think she spoke English. We ate our cold food, cleaned up, and left, and nobody else showed up to join her. Indeed, looking around, it appeared as though many people were just using the tables to take a break. Is there any wonder considering the total lack of places to “just sit” and rest one’s feet–especially IN THE SHADE? Woody’s tables are probably the only ones in DHS that are in a location that doesn’t require a reservation. There should be no wonder people want to camp at them.

You shouldn’t blame the restaurant, or Disney, for this bad behavior. It’s a quick-serve location, so there’s no host stand, so seating is literally the wild West. If someone is clearly just hogging a table at a QSR, we aim for them, and not once have we been wrong about them.

There will never be enough seats for everyone the actual problem is the people who are tired and camp out while their family is actually in line for a ride. The totchos and pop tarts are designed to be able to be eaten while walking to the next thing. Also it’s actually something different that can be made most allergies friendly. What they actually need is more original quick services that are not hamburgers or salads that are allergen friendly

Delusional . Making excuses for Disney. Lol

Any time I go to the parks with my adult son and we go to eat, I ask for gluten free options. Every location sends a chef out to tell us what that location offers. As far as seating, most counter services have that challenge. As we are deciding what to eat we also look for nearby seating if it’s not available inside.

    2. We last went in November 2018 and this seating issue was a problem then. Later in our stay a cast member asked if we would do a survey which we said yes to. During which we commented about the lack of seating in toy story area especially the quick service area. The cast member said quite a few people who had done the survey had said the same thing.
So Disney why are you not listening? Or as a wheelchair user does my satisfaction not count for anything?

  3. DisFan

Yeah, the true issue is the rude people that sit in a seat all day and probably never even order food. Get your lunch, sit and eat, then be polite and leave so the next family can enjoy.

Typical woke behavior. That’s what happens when the entitled liberals take over. No respect for others as valuable human beings the way conservatives have.

The issue at Toy Story is the lack of SHADE! That is one of the hottest areas and people who don’t ride and have to wait have no other options to sit down in the shade. There is a few large blocks you can sit but finding one in the shade is rare. Disney obviously knows this because they added umbrellas for the people in line for rides. These are called “parks” and some enjoy people watching without melting.

      1. Spank You Very Much

According to Paddie, wokeness caused the lack of shade also. *hard eyeroll*

    2. Yvonne

Democrats are against shade and seating! It’s true. I’ve been to all the meetings. The meetings are set up in a round room with no seats, like the Canadian experience over at Epcot.

    3. As if you’ve even ever been there.

    4. Nia

This has nothing to do with woke

    5. M

OK sheep stick to comments on the Orange Jesus cult…

    6. JustDenise

You know, I am tired of the holier than tho, everything is woke Republican lines. If you can’t leave your political finger pointing out of your oh so constructive comments then there are literally tons of politically inclined sites that you can visit and commune with your like mind pals.

    7. Jean S Stewart

Oh, good grief! This issue has NOTHING to do with.politics!

Can’t tell if you’re joking or just delusional

we are locals and have noticed that more and more benches are missing from every park. They just dont want people to sit down and relax. The ones that are there are mostly in the direct sun . People have to sit in the shaded eating areas, there is no place elce……We havent found anywhere to sit in toy story land at all besides in the restraunt area.

Wah Wah Wah people are sitting in a seat where I – the most important person in the world – should be able to sit. This is a result of parents giving their “F” ing cry baby kids a trophy for every minuscule unimportant and irrelevant thing their spoiled self important kid wants. these bloggers are nothing but self absorbed cry babies. How bout you do it the old fashioned way – you WAIT YOUR TURN!!! This is what happens when mentally compromised inmates run the asylum.

    1. Burt

      Triggered? LOL

    2. Nicole

Can’t read huh? There is no turn. There is no line. People like u stand next to the table where people are eating and sit down before they even get up. You and paddle need to just stay away from people.

    3. Spank You Very Much

Sounds like someone never got a trophy growing up, and never quite got over it either.

I walk over and ask “Is anyone using these chairs?” When they say NO I sit down and save 1 for my husband. Some people welcome the company while others get annoyed and leave! 🤣

  8. Totally agree with all the comments, in particular that there is very little seating anywhere in Toystoryland. My husband and I, not in the first flush of youth but disney fans nevertheless, visited this time last year and found it extremely hard to find anywhere to sit and rest our weary legs. Disney needs to put in more places to seat and MORE SHADE against the Florida heat!

  9. Ladyredrider

Did ey has NOT changed in 20+ years. We took our kids and had a miserable experience. Never a place to sit and rest. The lack if seating is intentional, it is to keep the traffic flowing and require people to buy, spend, and leave. We took our kids several times and they hated the place – the best thing Disney ever had was Disney Quest and they destroyed it to put in shopping at what was downtown Disney. We love Universal because they make sure there is plenty of seating, large spacious dining areas, and the prices are much lower. We also like that we dint have to be bused all over the place. Disney is more interested in liberal anti-American politics than the children they were designed for.

    1. Dodger

If you could explain what’s anti-American about liberal politics, I’d be impressed. It would mean you’re capable of critical thinking, but I think we all know better. If you even have the balls to respond to this, it won’t be in a thoughtful, intellectual way. Prove me wrong. Change my mind.

  10. VacaDad

Disney should put signs up “Seating for dining customers only”…it should be common sense but that is hard to find amongst so many entitled guests. If park goers are really that desperate to sit down and take away seats from those trying to dine there, they could at least buy a drink to justify sitting there.

  11. Of course! Yes it goes back to entitlement w the hogs. Sit down and rest your feet. I would!.Disney won t care, Walt wld ve provided seating throughout parks.

  12. Jj

A blogger I watch regularly said the are going to put in another seating area in the land. Hopefully that helps. I ask if anyone is seating with a single person or even two people if there are more chairs. Most of the time they let me sit.

Given your penchant for typing in all caps, I can only guess that YOLO, in your case, means “Yelling Obnoxiously Loud Often.”
