The highly anticipated attraction is set to join the park’s lineup of revolutionary rides on March 30, its official opening date.
The multi-million-dollar coaster — custom engineered and manufactured in collaboration with Idaho-based Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) — will provide a unique experience with cutting-edge technology, stunning effects, state-of-the-art onboard audio, an over 1,500 feet track, and three drops, including a water splashdown.
FIRE IN THE HOLE is located in the newly incorporated Fire District area of the park and doubles the size of one of The City’s most popular areas. The area is already home to Station No. 3 firehouse — an interactive play place — and a collection of family-friendly attractions.

In a press release, Brad Thomas, President of the Silver Dollar City Company, revealed that FIRE IN THE HOLE signifies the company’s “biggest investment in a single attraction,” continuing with a strategic, multi-phased growth plan to offer families opportunities to “play and stay together in the heart of the Ozarks.”
Thomas added, “Spurring the creation of The Fire District, the custom-designed FIRE IN THE HOLE makes history as the Heartland’s largest indoor coaster. As the District’s anchor attraction, it will be a favorite rite of passage for families where one generation introduces the next generation to this adventure and where the heroes of today spark the heroes of tomorrow.”
