Today is a big day for the Walt Disney World Resort, with Ice Cold Hydraulics finally opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This new Coca-Cola location offers ice cream, beverages, and snacks. The menu features a decent selection of salty and sweet treats, though we feel like the omission of a classic hot dog is a bit disappointing given the “retro diner” aesthetic of the new location, which is reminiscent of Casey’s Corner at the Magic Kingdom.

This brand-new quick-service destination is located in Mupptets Courtyard on the same walkway that takes guests to and from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This space is admittedly quite a strange one, with Muppet Vision 3D and the rest of Muppets Courtyard, including PizzaRizzo separating Star Tours from Galaxy’s Edge.
It’s been common speculation that Disney has been looking at ways to connect Star Tours and the rest of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, though the Muppets have managed to remain a crucial part of Disney’s Hollywood Studios for years and with this recent addition to the space, they show no signs of moving anytime soon.
This project has been in the works for quite some time, with construction walls surrounding Muppets Courtyard for months on end.

The construction for Ice Cold Hydraulics began last summer when walls started to mysteriously go up near the entrance of Muppet Vision 3D. Many fans, including us here at Inside the Magic, worried this was bad news for The Muppets, with Disney not investing in the area for years.
With this new location in Muppets Courtyard, it seems as though The Muppets are safe, for the time being, from being removed from the park like the rest of the original pieces of Disney’s Hollywood Studios were several years ago.
