Going shopping at Disneyland Paris is about to become a little more difficult.

As Walt Disney once said, “Disneyland will never be completed as long as there is imagination left in the world”. While he was thinking about his single theme park when he said that, little did he know that the one theme park would turn into a mega empire that would expand past the boundaries of America, all across the world.

With the Disney parks “never being complete”, comes exciting change, and with that change often comes construction. Disney has to close attractions and stores constantly in order to allow their construction teams in to refurbish the locations, which means areas tend to close quite often.

Right now, Disneyland Paris has added another location to the temporary shutdown list.

Disney reporter DLP Report (@DLPReport) shared that, “🔧 Disney Clothiers is closed for refurbishment until Feb 29. Shop connectivity is suspended”.

Disney Clothiers is located on Main Street, U.S.A in Disneyland Paris park, and serves as one of the main and popular shopping locations for apparel. Based on its location, it also connected to other stores on the street, allowing guests to walk from store to store, however, that convenience has also been halted for the time being.

DLP Report also shared video footage with audible banging coming from another shutdown location on Main Street, U.S.A., the popular Walt’s Restaurant. Both locations are set to reopen on February 29.

🔧 Banging from the ongoing Walt’s refurbishment (until Feb 29) can be heard in the shop below.

Luckily, the construction just outside the park at The Disneyland Hotel has finally come to an end. The Disneyland Hotel was under refurbishment for years, with a large chunk of the $2 billion investment that Disney had pledged for Disneyland Paris going into its transformation. Considering that The Disneyland Hotel is the first thing that guests see when they arrive, having it open once again is a big deal for guests.

When the hotel reopened, capacity proved to be an issue. Unlike nearly every other Disney hotel, guests cannot just enter and walk inside to take a look around. At first, non-residents of the hotel had to wait outside in a line until capacity would free up. While the system seemed to make sense, at the end of the night, it was keeping paying guests stuck behind a massive line, which is not fitting for a Disney flagship resort that costs thousands to stay at.

Now, visitors can book their visit through a virtual line on Lineberty, a system Disneyland Paris locals are used to from the pandemic. The only issue has been that the system does not always work, and has been hitting capacity with time slots within minutes.

At Walt Disney Studios Park, construction is ramping up, with Studio 1 getting ready to close down for a full year this April. Additionally, the back half of the park remains a closed-off construction zone as the new Frozen land and Tangled attraction continue to be developed.

The DLP Report also shared the vast number of construction walls taking over Disney Village; this is in addition to the ongoing Planet Hollywood demolition.

🔧 Walls continue to pop up and move around at Disney Village as the front end of the district gets repaved and remodeled – creating detours and bottlenecks that must be super fun at park closing time:

Overall, Disneyland Paris is certainly undergoing a ton of changes at the moment, which could alter the guest experience due to the closures. The park did debut A Million Splashes of Colour, a new parade, as well as the Main Street Electrical Sky Parade before Disney Dreams on Sleeping Beauty each night.

What do you think about the amount of construction ongoing at Disneyland Paris?
