A fight broke out between two Disney Park guests after one questioned the other’s parenting style. A video of the incident gained traction on TikTok, where Disney Parks fans debated who was in the wrong.

Theme park violence is a nationwide problem, and Disneyland Resort isn’t immune. Just last week, two families brawled in Fantasyland after one allegedly refused to move out of the way of the other. Days later, a guest threatened a Disney cast member on video because his daughter wasn’t tall enough to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort added new “courtesy” policies to their theme park guidelines last year, giving Disney cast members more authority to handle unruly guests.

“Please show common courtesy to fellow Guests and our Cast Members by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive, or offensive behavior, jumping lines or saving places in lines for others,” the updated rule states. “For your safety and the safety of others, please refrain from running except in designated areas.”

But little has changed. TikToker Kourt (@makingmagicwithkourt) recently shared a video of two Disneyland Park guests in a screaming match after one questioned the other’s parenting methods:

According to Kourt, the woman yelled at her child after he got lost somewhere in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park. A stranger asked, “Really?” as she screamed at her child.

“Yes, really,” the woman yelled back. “Mind your business! Shut up!”

She dragged her child away, screaming at him and the other guest as they walked.

Kourt asked viewers what they thought about the altercation.

“Being a mother and having been separated from my child in a high-traffic area like that, I would probably be very, very upset,” she said. “…I think every mom has probably experienced that. No mom is perfect. Do I think she handled it in the best way? No. However, I cannot disagree with the fact that I probably would’ve said the same thing to the bystander: ‘Mind your business.’”

Most commenters agreed with Kourt.

“People need to not get involved,” @disneymami74 said. “Each parent handles their children their way. Losing a kid someplace like that is terrifying!”

“If someone is going to correct my parenting – I am going to take alllll my anger out on that bystander,” @bru1628 replied. “Be ready!!”

Others said bystanders should only speak out if a child is hurt.

“I would only get involved if she was physically hurting him,” @disney.m.om wrote. “Otherwise she’s entitled to her stressful reaction.”

“The bystander should’ve just said is he ok or thank god you found him bc it really can happen TO ANYONE,” @lameassana agreed.

But some said the bystander did the right thing.

“She’s literally verbally abusing her child,” @dawnoftimecrafts argued. “He is probably already traumatized by her and now he most likely won’t ever want to go back.”

“He will remember this,” @mybarron4 echoed. “Also seems like the mother doesn’t do well under a stressful situation.”

Tell a Disney cast member if you witness concerning behavior at the Disney theme parks. They’re trained to handle difficult situations and can contact Disney security to defuse a fight or verbal conflict.
