I’m not in the least bit excited for this and won’t be watching it. I’ve yet to watch any of the live action remakes because they just take away the magic for me.
Just make a new story and leave the classics alone!
I watched the live action Beauty and the Beast and that was enough to end my curiosity.
I dont think they should be remade especially with actors/actresses that don’t even like the original and have nothing good to say about it.
While some sites stated it made $500 million breaking even, that is really false. You must go 3X the production cost, not twice. Marketing costs must be added in, so it fell massively short.
This movie needs to flop because she is rude and evil little mermaid actress hale was at least humble and beautiful inside and out. She was a princess. It flopped because of her race not to mention the dis take some iconic scenes out like the chef!! Who does that!! But she did wonderful with what she had this women is just the very opposite and doesn’t even deserve the roll of she doesn’t even like it. At least hale under the assignment.
It didn’t flop because of her race, it flopped because it was race swapped, they changed the movie from the source, and they changed lyrics to the music.
I don’t understand the hate on Little mermaid. I took my older girls to watch it and we really enjoyed it. I don’t care what color the mermaid girl is. She did a great job.
Now this one – the bigger issue is the dwarves – come on!
I don’t like the idea of removing Prince charming either, we’ve seen tough princesses and still get their prince.
I was abit critical before seeing it due to changing her characters appearance, but now I can’t see Ariel as anyone but Halle, I really loved the new little mermaid and she is my Ariel.

I don’t understand why people keep saying negative things about Walt Disney’s 1937 animation of Snow White. Walt Disney didn’t write the story, the Brothers Grimm did. So if people have a bone to pick about the story, people should remember that it dates back to 1812. Walt only brought it to the silver screen and it was a ground breaking achievement for 1937. I wish people could stop seeing these stories with a 21st century mentality and just enjoy the classics as they are.

Snow White And The Seven Ummm, People. Where she goes off to business school to become the leader and knows she can be.
tbh only Cinderella was the good live action. They actually preserved and re-imagined the magic of the original. It was so nostalgic and made me cry so much. I love rewatching it.
Maleficent was also good since it gave a new story, all while retaining Aurora’s personality. I just hated that they made a Maleficent 2 cuz that sucked
