I thought her role was perfect for the storyline and had a bigger impact for me based on the timing of her appearance. In this case, at least emotionally to the storyline, more wouldn’t have been better.
I too wish Karen Allen had been given a larger role, but it was wonderful to see her at all and the reunion was more poignant because of its brevity. Overall, Dial of Destiny is a satisfying sequel and a fun popcorn movie.
Mangold thinks he knows better. Still. Even after his movie failed epically, he’s still clueless as to why. Another Hollywood director whose ego is so massive that he’s essentially a human bobble head doll.
I never liked Karen Allen as Marion. Thought she was not the right fit for the role.
Also I think it’s was a stretch to say Shia did not want to come back to his role as Mutt. He was terrified in the Crystal Skull and he criticized the movie very openly. I would killed him off as well.
Karen Allen not the right fit for Marion???? I can’t imagine who you think would be better. Her girl-next-door looks and spunky attitude were EXACTLY what the role called for.
Karen Allen made the picture for me. There was zero chemistry otherwise. Too many chases. Too bad Speilberg bailed on the last one. It definitely hurt the picture.
I completely agree with Johnny Dupe. Indiana Jones was a good trilogy . It should have stayed that way. Just like back to the future and naked gun, 3 movies was perfect. Last 2 indy films were bad just like temple 🕍 of doom. But at least they would have ended on a high note with the last crusade.
Ford wanted to end his time as Indy with a bang instead he ended with a BIG WHIMPER. A BIG THUD.
Egocentric people like Spielberg, Lucas & Ford should know when to quit.
I hope for the sake of the viewing public Ford never acts or pilots a plane ever again.
